Sequestered is just as lovely and spacious and the images suggested! Although we could not see much of the sound from the home’s decks, the view of trees was quite lovely out the expansive windows and on the deck. The neighborhood was also quite nice; we enjoyed sunsets and watching osprey on the marsh pier. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well appointed. The beach access is not walkable, I would suggest bikes. The closest beach access points do lead to gorgeous stretches of sand and surf. We loved both Corolla and Duck! It was fun to visit the historic village and take the tour of the Whalehead Lodge. I chose this place in part because of the hot tub, which would have been nice to use in the cooler May weather. In fact, it was unusually cold while we were there. The hot tub broke the first day. Because of a delay seeking necessary home owner approval for the repair and a required part that had to be ordered, we did not have access to that amenity. Also, the pots and pans were dingy and scratched and needed replacing. I might recommend this property to a friend, it would depend on what that person was seeking.

We had a great time! Love the house and location. Was impressed how clean the house was (compared to other rentals in the past). Internet was plenty fast for remote VPN working. Access to grocery store and restaurants are blocks away yet the house is on a quiet cul-de-sac with partial views of the sound. The kids liked the hammocks on the lower level porch. Only thing to be mindful of is the stairwell is sketchy for little climber age toddlers (like other reviews have noted). Fine if you pull couch over some.

Loved our Thanksgiving week in this home. On a side note would be the star shaped pikers that was awful for our pups each time they went outside! Also, kitchen is in need of more silverware and dishes need to be rinsed before each use as they are kept out in the open and not in a cupboard.

We really enjoyed our stay. We came with a 2 and 3 year old. We did have to shift the couch about 3 ‘ away from the railing that it was backed up against. It was a fall hazard from 3rd floor to ground level. Other than that the house was totally toddler friendly. The management company provided us with an additional baby gate to keep the kids out of the master bed. They were nice and worked quickly.

The area is easy access to pretty much everything you’d need. the beaches are incredible. I’ve been home for 2 days now and am already planning my next trip back.

Everything was clean and the house was amazing. The only complaint is that the floor with 3 bedrooms and laundry, the rooms got very warm. I called about the air conditioner bc the floor itself was cool but the bedroom became very warm. I had to leave a message and no one ever got back to me. We were really disappointed in thats. That being said we would stay again.

We enjoyed every aspect of our rental in the OBX. Home was well kept and very roomy for the 7 of us and close to all the things that were important to us. (Beach, restaurants, etc)

First time renter in the OBX. Perfect size for us but we only had 5 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant. It was great having community pool didn't use the hot tub. Loved being close to stores and shopping as well as close enough to beach access.

We have stayed here several times. The house is comfortable, well-equipped, and dog friendly! If you plan to cook, you may want to bring your favorite tools. There was no cookie sheet this time, but we picked one up at the grocery. We brought our own kettle grill.The community pool wasn't open yet, so we really appreciated the well maintained hot tub. Beware of midges. They will quickly come in through an open door. We left all exterior lights off at night.We had a minor service issue but BR sent someone over right away.

Our vacation was perfect! We loved Seaquestered!!! It was a beautiful home and we loved the kitchen and main living area. It was spacious. Our two dogs loved it too!!! I would definitely go back to the same location. You could ride bikes and we could walk to get ice cream and groceries if we wanted... I wish we were still there. The Currituck lighthouse was amazing!! The beach was a quick drive away and there was plenty of parking available...

The house was even better than the photos let us think. If I had to find an issue I'd say the distance from the beach and the car traffic in the area but all in all we did enjoy our time in Corolla

Awesome- Property had been nicely updated. I would highly recommend this property. Only two minor issues. TV in living room needs instructions, goes thru to many devices and remotes to play. Half bath on top floor needs window treatment.

Wonderful house!
Very updated loved the modern baths and kitchen
Beds were very comfortable
Location was quiet and serene and conveinent to shopping and short drive to beach
Outdoor decks and hot tub was nice
Only thing would like to see added is a gas grill and fix up landscape
Other than that was a great house and would recomend to others and would stay again

We were pleasantly surprised to find that the house had just been remodeled before we arrived. The kitchen and bedrooms were beautiful. The community pool was nice but farther away than we had expected. The beach was about a 10 minute walk. We had a great time in Corolla aND enjoyed our stay in this house. I would recommend this house for guests with 12 or fewer guests.

The house was roomy, comfortable , and had tons of great oudoor living space. While it was perfectly walkable to everything, it was still a significant walk to the water and beach, so expect to take 10 minutes if you go by foot, or bring bikes

Too much house for just the two of us. Second floor master bath was a great experience in it own. Loved the shower. Off season is the best time to go if you don't love crowds. Water still warm enough to catch waves. This location is a short walk or bike ride to everything---shops, stores, restaurants & the Ocean. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. The furnishings and decorations are lovely and inviting. Great floorplan! We were very happy that it was pet-friendly. The location is quiet yet convenient. It would be a 5-star if the sheets from the linen service fit (both king and queen were too small), if the electric range had been smooth surface (the coils get uneven and make it difficult to cook), the driveway only fits 2 vehicles due to the grade (low clearance cars scrape the asphalt on entry/exit). I would recommend, but probably won't be a return guest. What can I say, I like to cook!

We had a very nice family vacation in this house. Adequate space for our needs and very nice amenities at Monteray Shores. Very clean and decorated beautifully. Our only concern with this house was the positioning of the sectional in the living room. We had small children and always had to keep an adult on the end of the sectional that was against the railing for safety. It would be a devasting fall. Also the railings need to be spaced closer in order to prevent the smallest child from slipping through. Also, the yard needs some attention, but we still greatly enjoyed our stay.

My family had a great week in Corolla. The house shows a little age but with some new updates, it looks cared for. It felt roomy enough, we had up to 11 at some point in the week. The deck with a jacuzzi and screenEd porches were a hit. Amenities at Monterrey Shores were great, pool, gym, rental bikes, and many crabs trapped on their pier. Negatives: Many stairs, steep driveway, no direct access to sound from property. Still a good value for the price!

We had 5 adults and a teenager on a relaxing getaway for a week. The house was nice had everything that you need. The bed swing was a hit for this family since the weather was not very hot. There are some updates that need to happen to this house but overall considering it is a rental was pleased.
