Welcome to Sugar Tree Getaway!
Sugar Tree Getaway, a contemporary mountain home with 4BR/2BA, is located on Sugar Mountain, near the ski resorts, snow tubing and ice skating. During the summer, guests can enjoy the Sugar Mountain Public golf course and tennis courts. The shuttle will pick you up from your home and drop you at the slopes. Return the same way when you're done. CLICK HERE for shuttle details.
Please be aware that the main floor bathroom of Sugar Tree Getaway is currently undergoing renovations, which means that this shower will not be available. The toilet and sink are both fully functional.
You will find a mix of modern European design and mountain contemporary elegance. The kitchen features upgraded stainless appliances, including a six-burner gas cooktop with commercial grade, concrete countertops and soft-close cabinets. The central island, with its butcher block top and stainless steel base, offers additional bar stool seating to accommodate casual dining and gatherings. The adjacent dining room can accommodate up to ten guests, so groups of up thirteen (13) can dine together. The open-concept design of the great room allows family gatherings to take place simultaneously in the living and pool table areas, as well as the kitchen and dining area. The open-concept great room features leather furniture, an electric fireplace that is easy to start and has multi-colored flames on the wall, as well as a mix of designer pieces from the mid-century and modern eras.
Three bedrooms are located on the main floor. The bunk room can sleep up to three people with a twin over twin bunk bed and a twin trundle that pulls out underneath. The chalkboard accent wall provides a fun way for children to share their memories of Sugar Mountain. Four more guests can be accommodated in two more bedrooms on the main level, each with a king bed. One of the queen bedrooms has a wall-mounted HDTV. The central bathroom has a spa feel, with a step-down shower that also doubles as an expansive soaking tub. The main level has a comfortable den with a large HDTV, and a sleeper sofa that can accommodate up to 2 additional guests.
The private master suite is reached by a custom-made open tread staircase. The bedroom is complete with a huge King bed, leather sofa, armchair, HDTV and tongue-in groove ceilings. The ensuite bathroom features floating "his and her" sinks with a large shower with handheld and rain showerheads and a deep Japanese bath tub in the corner. All of this is surrounded by sunlight from the windows. This master suite is designed with spa-like tones to complement your relaxing vacation.
Sugar Tree Getaway has multiple decks. There is an open-air deck at the rear with a stainless-steel grill, picnic-style dining, a sectional sofa and ottoman, as well as a covered porch with bench seating. A screened-in porch is located in a quiet corner of the main floor. Sugar Mountain's yard is unique in that it is mostly flat, completely usable, and is safe for children. The wood-burning fireplace in the back yard is available year-round. Also, enjoy the lush, seasonal landscaping that surrounds the cabin, and the mature trees that dot the property. Sugar Mountain offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
The house is equipped with energy-efficient, European-designed windows that can be tilted or opened. Visitors can enjoy the fresh mountain breeze, rain or shine. The Japanese soaking bathtub in the master bath is ideal for relaxing after a long day of outdoor activities. The electric fireplace in this room is a great way to warm up after a day of skiing. It has multi-colored flames, and it provides plenty of heat. Sugar Tree Getaway features WiFi internet, HDTVs, digital TV programming and whole-house air conditioning.
Bring the entire family to enjoy the cabin, as well as the amenities and benefits offered by Sugar Mountain Resort. The Sugar Mountain Ski Resort shuttle stops right in front of the house as part of its regular route. A mile away is the ski resort, its slopes, and ice skating. Grandfather Mountain is only 10 miles away. Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zip Lines is 9 miles away. Ski Beech is approximately 10 miles away. Appalachian Ski Mountain is less than 20 miles from Tweetsie Railroad. Sugar Tree Getaway, located between Boone (15 mile away) Banner Elk (4 mile away), and Valle Crucis (12 mile away), is also close to Blowing Rock (which is 16 miles away). The Watauga River and New River are only a few minutes away. Watauga lake is less than 30 mile away. Linville Caverns and Linville Falls are also nearby, both approximately 22 miles. CANCELLATION POLICY:
You can cancel your booking within 24 hours and receive a refund in full. If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to arrival, you'll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will not be refunded. If you have purchased travel insurance, and the reason of the cancellation is covered by the policy, you can recover the full amount.
