Sunset Lodge is a luxurious 4-bedroom mountain house located less than a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway, between Blowing Rock, Boone and Boone. This Five Star property offers spectacular views of the mountains and sunsets on both levels! Hammock Hill is your own private, one-acre scenic overlook at Sunset Lodge. This terraced side yard features a firepit, Adirondack chair, and a large hammock to relax in. Hammock Hill offers the perfect setting for peaceful sunsets, afternoon napping, or S'mores.  
This house is a family-friendly mountain retreat that has been furnished and designed to be luxurious, yet comfortable. The upper level has a great room that features vaulted ceilings with hardwood floors, designer furnishings, a fireplace and a large HD Smart TV. The great room also has a bar with a powder room and a half-bath, as well as a laundry room that includes a washer and a dryer. The adjacent kitchen features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The dining table can seat up to eight (8) people, plus two (2) more at the counter height bar between the great room and kitchen. The master bedroom, located on the same level, has vaulted ceilings with an HD smart television, a king-sized bed, and a large bathroom with a jetted tub and a separate shower. The master bedroom has sliding glass doors that lead out to the deck, which offers amazing views of the long distance.  
The lower level features a second living room with a HD smart TV, queen sleeper couch, small fridge, foosball, and game console. Glass doors lead down to the lower deck with the hot tub. Two bedrooms in one wing have a king-size bed and two twin-size beds. They share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom that has a shower and tub. On the opposite wing, a king-sized suite is available with a full bathroom and a HD smart TV. The lower level has a two-car garage with a ping-pong table.  
Come prepared for winter weather by bringing 4WD and tire chains.  
Sunset Lodge is located at the back of an upscale, quiet residential area. The homes are situated on large properties, with mature hardwood trees.  
Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain can be reached in six (6) miles. Valle Crucis lies about fifteen (15 miles) away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is about twenty (20 miles) away, as are Snowtubing and ZipLines in Hawksnest and Grandfather Mountain. Banner Elk, about twenty-five miles away. Ski Beech, thirty miles away.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You can cancel your booking within 24 hours and receive a refund in full. If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to arrival, you'll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will not be refunded. If you have purchased travel insurance, and the reason of the cancellation is covered by the policy, you can recover the full amount.  
*RVs, vehicles with trailers and street parking is prohibited in the area.  
*Winter Driving Note - The Sunset Lodge driveway is steep even by mountain standards. Winter weather conditions can be challenging for renters, with snow and ice. Please do not rent this property if you cannot handle the access to this driveway. If we have winter conditions like snow and ice, you may need 4-wheel drive or chains between October and February.
