Welcome to Westmount!   Westmount is an upscale, large home with a contemporary custom feel. This three (3) bedroom home has five (5) sleeping areas and four and a quarter (4.5) bathrooms. Westmount is located in the gated community Laurel Ridge. It offers guests a centrally located location near Boone, near Valle Crucis and close to both Blowing rock (about 12 miles away) and Banner Elk. Nearby, you can enjoy hiking, golf, sledding and shopping.   Westmount is perched high above other homes in Laurel Ridge, on a private property at the top of a mountain with views to all sides. The large stone patio located off the great room and front entrance offers stunning views. The side and rear decks, which are located off the kitchen and master bedroom suites, offer additional outdoor living and dining spaces. They also include a large hot-tub. Explore and enjoy the well-maintained grounds. The property features a cobbled brick parking area and a paved driveway with a garage for two cars. You can park six (6) cars comfortably.   The two-story foyer features wood floors, a custom chandelier and an ornate balustrade made of wrought iron. The great room features vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. It also has a floor-to-ceiling gas log fireplace, a 55" HDTV and comfortable custom furniture. A formal dining room flanking the entry foyer has wood floors, vaulted-ceilings and exposed beams. It features a banquet style dining table that can comfortably seat eight (8) people. The adjacent breakfast table seats six (6) guests, and there are two (2) additional barstool seats in the kitchen. Westmount can comfortably accommodate 16 guests.   The kitchen features heated brick floors, custom cabinetry with accent lighting, granite countertops with a stainless steel sink under-mount, a double wall oven, a cooktop on the central Island, and more.   On the main floor, there is also a powder room, a queen-sized bedroom known as the Bohemian Room, with built-in shelving, an HDTV and sliding glass doors that lead to the rear deck. Custom touches such as built-in bookcases, wine racks in dining room, bar area in main hallway and original custom artwork by local artists give this home character and authenticity.   The main master suite is located two steps below the main hallway on the main floor. The master suite is surrounded by a wall of large windows that provide stunning mountain views. The king-sized bed is located across from the leather swivel chair and a cozy seating area, with a gas log fireplace. His-and-hers ensuite master bathrooms provide a unique touch to luxury and comfort. His master bathroom features a large vanity with sink, a fully tiled shower and a walk-in closet. The "her" master bathroom features a beauty station, including a make-up table and chair, vanity lighting, a sink and a bidet. It also has a jetted Jacuzzi bathtub with a handheld showering tool, as well as a large walk in closet. Enjoy the sunset from the quiet side deck of the master bedroom, then step down to the hot-tub, which is just steps away.   The second staircase is a half-flight that leads to a private and dedicated king suite. This suite is known by the owners as "Bear Suite" and features a king-sized bed, high ceilings with an HDTV and views from all windows. It also has a luxurious, long window seat that's perfect for stretching out or taking a nap. The Bear Suite has a private bathroom with a combination shower and tub.   The main staircase leads to a central loft, which is mostly enclosed, with an archway looking down into the great space. This room is covered with tongue-and groove wood walls and ceilings, creating a warm and lodge-like atmosphere with a gas fireplace and a built-in pool table in the central alcove. The "Blue Suite" is located on the other side of this loft. It has tongue-and groove wood ceilings, skylight windows, hardwood floors, a Queen bed, an HDTV and an alcove that includes a cozy swivel-chair in front of an enormous window. The "Hideaway Room", on the other side, has two twin beds with a third twin-trundle bed. This room is great for kids, teens, or those who are "young at hearts" with its books, games, HDTV for gaming, and Smart TV features.   Westmount features central heating and air-conditioning, a laundry area, an outdoor gas fireplace, three (3) gas logs, WiFi internet access, five (5) HDTVs (four (4) with digital cable TV), a hot tub and a pool table.   Westmount does not allow pets. Guests are asked for respect of the surrounding community. Please be aware that sound travels through the mountains. After 10 pm, there is a countywide ordinance on noise.   MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO BOOK   CANCELLATION POLICY: You can cancel your booking within 24 hours and receive a refund in full. If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to arrival, you'll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will not be refunded. If you have purchased travel insurance, and the reason of the cancellation is covered by the policy, you can recover the full amount.
