Property Description

Mountain Remedy offers five (5) sleeping spaces plus a sleeper couch in the lower den. It is located on Appalachian Ski Mountain, near the parkway. There are easy access points to Blowing Rock and Boone. The Tweetsie Railroad, Blue Ridge Parkway and Bass Lake are all within five (5) mile distance. Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain Resort and Valle Crucis are all within a distance of less than 18 miles. Mountain Remedy is the perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and ice skating as well as hiking, bouldering, snowtubing, zip lines, whitewater rafting or kayaking.


The main floor has hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings with tongue-and groove. The open-concept area features a generous living room. The great room has designer leather furniture, an HD Smart TV with HD resolution, a wood-burning fireplace, and a game/card table for two. There is also plenty of space to spread out. Both the dining area and great room enjoy long-range views of the mountains. The kitchen features stainless appliances, granite counters, wood floors and custom cabinetry. The kitchen is open both to the dining room and the great room. The banquet-style table can seat ten people. A central glass door leads to an open-air terrace. The deck has a large view of the Blue Ridge from its two outdoor dining tables and stainless gas grill. The front yard is lushly landscaped and has a wood-burning fireplace surrounded by comfortable seating. This property is both open and private, with views of the long distance. Enjoy the shaded swinging benches nestled amongst the native rhododendrons.


Two king suites flank either side of the great space. The primary master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a bay windows, access to an open-air deck and a large HD Smart TV. It also has a shower in the ensuite bathroom. The second king-sized suite offers mountain views, access to a full bath with a granite vanity and a tub/shower combo, as well as a large HD Smart TV. This bathroom, although technically an ensuite, is accessible directly from the living room without having to go into the bedroom. It's a great option for daytime use.


The loft has two twin beds, and can be used as a fifth bedroom. The loft's views are among the best in the entire house. The great room is brightened by a large picture window that provides a priceless view of the mountains.


The lower level has a second kitchen, which includes a double stainless steel sink, a full size fridge and freezer, an oven and cooktop as well as a toaster, a microwave and a coffee maker. This level also includes the den and game room with a wood-burning fireplace, a futsal table, HD Smart TV and a comfortable leather queen sofa/sleeper. A covered lower deck with Adirondack style seating and a hot tub is accessible through an exterior door. Two bedrooms are located on the lower level. The lower level has two bedrooms. One is a queen-sized bedroom with an HD Smart TV, and good views. The bunk room has a twin-over full bunk bed with an HD SmartTV. The lower level features a full bathroom that includes a bathtub and shower combination.
