Welcome to Time Well Wasted!
 
Time Well Wasted is an adorable 2BR/2BA log cabin nestled in a large property with mature hardwood trees, and layered mountain views. It's located just above 4500 feet elevation. It is located in Blowing Rock on a quiet residential road on Appalachian Ski Mountain, less than three miles from downtown. It's also only one mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway and less than two miles from the main lodge, ski slopes, ice-skating, snow tubing and other resort amenities. Time Well Wasted is a vacation cabin that is ideally located for all seasons - spring, summer, fall, and winter!  
The cabin is easily accessible and has a convenient entry, thanks to paved driveways and parking for up to two (2) vehicles. ***(4WDs and tire chains are recommended in winter weather conditions! )***
 
The main floor features an open concept with vaulted-ceilings, a gas log fireplace, HD Smart TV and comfortable designer furniture. The granite-topped kitchen and adjacent dining area make it easy to prepare and serve meals. On the main floor, there is a Queen-sized bedroom with HDTV and a full bath with a bathtub and shower combination.  
Enjoy all-weather comfort and year-round outdoor living on the extended covered porch located on the "view" (side) of the cabin. Take in the mountaintop views from the extended covered patio! The covered porch opens up to a large side deck with a gas barbecue, outdoor dining and comfortable outdoor seating.  
The upper level has the master bedroom suite with a king bed, HD Smart TV and a private bathroom. The master bedroom offers a beautiful view of the mountains. The loft provides a desk and workstation for guests to stay connected with their work and home life.  
WiFi internet and Satellite TV on 3 HDTVs - 2 of which offer Smart TV options - will keep you entertained and connected on those "inside weather days and nights". A washer and dryer are available for guests. The central heating and gas fireplace will ensure that you are always warm. Time Well Wasted does not have air conditioning. The temperatures are unlikely to rise above 70 degrees at an elevation of over 4500 feet, as the cool mountain breezes will keep the room cool.  
Please note that it is important for the owners and neighbors to know that Time Well Wasted is located in a quiet residential area with many residents who live there all year round. The community enforces a strict 10 PM quiet hour. The thin air and rocky terrain in the mountains allows sound to travel much further, so even unintentional noises from the decks may reverberate more than guests realize. We don't anticipate any problems with a maximum of 4 guests, but we ask that you respect the community and remind them that not all vacationers can be loud or rowdy.

* There is a camera outside the cabin on the side/rear, facing the driveway entrance and the mountains. Owners can watch the cabin even when it's unoccupied, and sneak a peek at the layered mountain views whenever they want to return to the High Country.  
** Only TWO (2) VEHICLES are allowed to be parked in the cabin at any time. The cabin is only a 2BR and can accommodate a maximum of four guests. The driveway is too small to accommodate more than two vehicles. Please limit your visit to a maximum of two vehicles. If you need to bring a third vehicle with you, please arrange offsite parking either with CCR or independently.  
This cabin does not have air conditioning. It is located at an elevation of over 4500 feet, and the owners usually use it themselves during summer. The temperature rarely rises above mid-70s in Time Well Wasted. The cool mountain cross breezes also help to keep the temperature down.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You can cancel your booking within 24 hours and receive a refund in full. If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to arrival, you'll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will not be refunded. If you have purchased travel insurance, and the reason of the cancellation is covered by the policy, you can recover the full amount.
