It is located 7 miles from Boone, and 8 miles from the downtown of Banner Elk. Blowing Rock is 10 miles away. Valle Crucis, with its Original Mast General Store and riverfront park is just a 6-mile drive away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Sugar Mountain Public Golf Club are both 6 miles away. Appalachian Ski Mountain is approximately 12 miles and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about 14 miles away. Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zip Line Park is less than 5 miles from the hotel. Grandfather Mountain, with its popular hiking trail Profile, is also less than 5 miles away. Alpine Wilderness Run is less than 6 miles from the Alpine Wilderness Run outdoor roller coaster. Tweetsie Railroad amusement area is less than 13 miles from the park. Watauga river is less than 1/2 mile from Owls Nest. The leather sectional sofa is located in the main floor living room, which is framed by skylights. This sofa is perfect for conversing in front of a gas log fireplace or watching the big screen television. The dining room is surrounded by warm wooden floors and vaulted ceilings. A separate kitchen is located to the side. The kitchen is equipped with a high-end sterling water oxygenation system. Watch the air bubbles disappear in seconds, leaving behind refreshing, clear water. The main deck features a gas barbecue and outdoor dining. The stairs lead to the lower patio where there is a hot tub, seating and a dining area. You will find an upstairs game room that has a pool and air hockey table. The master bedroom on the main floor features a king bed, writing desk and a luxurious bathroom with a separate shower and soaking bathtub. On the lower floor, you'll find a king sized bedroom, an ensuite full-sized bathroom, as well as an adorable children’s room with twin bunk beds and a fold-out full-size couch bed. Owls Nest is equipped with a unique, infrared air purifier that works both inside and outside. WiFi, streaming on TVs, and paid programs are all available as additional amenities.
