Showcasing the dramatic natural beauty of Western North Carolina, Hickory Nut Gorge, boasting both Chimney Rock State Park and Lake Lure, is a popular destination for a myriad of recreational activities such as boating, golfing, biking, and mountain hiking. Nearby Chimney Rock State Park (0.8 mi. to the entrance) is a 1000-acre scenic attraction with dozens of trails and the spectacular 400-foot-high Hickory Nut Falls.
