This lovely hawaiian kamaaina style vacation cottage, reminicent of Hawaii's past, is located at the gateway to the awesome northern Shore of Kauai near the town of Kilauea.
From our deck you will see all the way to the beginning of the Na Pali Coast mountains. What a view! And what a great place to vacation - relax and unwind.
On the Northshore, beauty abounds, countless activities await you, and if you are not here to cook, you will find a wonderful assortment of good food and entertainment available. Where do you start?
This lovely vacation rental is located on the tropical northern Shore near the town of Kilauea. Quiet and peaceful, yet lots to do. Just minutes from great surfing and swimming spots, Princeville Resort and Hanalei town will provide activities for both day and night. Rent a surf board, shop, take wind surfing lessons or a Zodiac ride down the Napali Coast.

On the Northshore, beauty abounds, countless activities await you, and if you are not here to cook, you will find a wonderful assortment of good food and entertainment available. Where do you start?
Well, Kilauea town, Princeville Resort, and Hanalei Town all provide some wonderful places to eat and the good news is they are all minutes away. Hanalei Town is the farthest (about 10 minutes), but it is probably the most diverse and interesting. Besides eating there is a lot of Kauai's history here, as well as ocean activities galore and hiking, botanical gardens, and more.
Here on Kauai's Northshore we offer some of the worlds finest surfing, snorkeling, kayaking adventures, and of course the fantastic Napali Coast, which can be experienced by boat or hiking! We can also offer you wonderful horse back riding, swimming at your choice of numerious tropical beaches, windsurfing, golf, tennis just to name the most popular. If you desire to rent a surf board or take a kayak adventure or just need something you do not have to enjoy yourself here, you will probably find it in Hanalei.
The fun does not stop here on the Northshore, there is the rest of our lovely garden Isle to explore. Wailua Falls, the Waimea Canyon (also named the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific"), helicoptor tours, and more beaches and sun for starters.
We love to hike down to secluded Pilaa Beach, a very special piece of paradise in our neighborhood, just a half mile from us. Most of our trips down there are punctuated by not seeing another person on the beach!
Come relax and enjoy the mountain, ocean, and garden views from this privately located cottage and visit nearby Pilaa Beach. We sincerely hope that you enjoy, as our past guests have, the very special ambiance we have created for you that has been passed on to us from our parents and their parents before them. You will enjoy with us, our very special hawaiian estate, designed as homes were 80 to 100 years ago, yet with all the comforts and conveinces we have all grown accustomed to. Our steep roofs, high vaulted ceilings, spacious and open air feeling, combined with our attention to detail places you back into a hawaiian style of living that evioved generations ago among the missionary families that first lived here in Hawaii. This style takes full advantage of our wonderful climate year around.
We sincerely wish to share with you our hawaiian hospitality and Aloha spirit. We are here to pass on to you our local knowledge and hope to make your experiences and memories on Kauai even more memorable and meanful. Our first ancestors arrived 5 generations ago, creating a family heritage that has enriched our lives. As his father before him, Allan has been active in the ocean all of his life. He spends free time with his family, surfing, fishing, diving, windsurfing, kayaking and enjoying our exceptional ocean environment. We look forward to sharing with you.
