Bald Eagle Bluff is a 3BR/2.5BA chalet located on Appalachian Ski Mountain, less than 2 miles from the slopes. Downtown Blowing Rock is 3 miles away. Boone is located 4 miles away. Tweetsie Railroad is located 4 miles away. Blue Ridge Parkway, 2 miles away. Boone is home to the Appalachian State University. The athletic stadiums are also within 5 miles. Valle Crucis, with its riverfront parks and the original Mast General Store, is only 10 miles away. Banner Elk is close to Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort & Golf Course and Hawksnest Ziplines.

The main level of Bald Eagle Bluff is spacious and open. It has wood floors and vaulted-ceilings. The large windows let in lots of sunlight, and frame stunning views of the mountains. The great room, which is open to the entrance, features a large HD Smart TV with comfortable furniture and a gas log fireplace that extends from floor to ceiling. Glass doors lead to the patio. A series of large windows on the upper level offers panoramic views of high-elevation mountain ranges. The built-in desk lets you create a workspace and connect to the "real" World. Overhead bookcases hold books you can enjoy during your stay. A centrally located half bathroom is in the foyer.

The open dining room is located next to the great-room. The open dining area has a banquet style table with seating for eight. The dining area has large windows overlooking the beautiful yard. It also offers stunning views on both sides. The kitchen is next to the dining area. The granite bar top peninsula with bar stool seating is located in the middle. There is plenty custom cabinet space. You will find a wide selection of glassware, flatware, and silverware. This kitchen features high-end brushed nickel appliances, such as a glass cooktop, large fridge and freezer, and a wine chiller.

The main floor also houses the primary suite. The bedroom features a brand-new designer king-sized mattress and bedside tables with lamps. A large double window allows you to enjoy the stunning views of the mountains. The bedroom has a wall-mounted HDTV, as well as a lowboy dresser. The ensuite master bathroom features a granite vanity with under-mount sinks. The shower is spacious and has custom tile work, as well as built in seating.

You can walk straight out of the greatroom and onto a patio with outdoor seating, a gas BBQ, and an open-air atmosphere. The views are expansive in front and to the side. Enjoy the view of Appalachian Ski Mountain and the mountains. These photos were taken at the beginning stages of creating this outdoor furniture. The new owners finished this masterpiece with meticulous care. On the main deck is a gas grill, ready to grill your food.

The lower level of Bald Eagle Bluff has two additional bedrooms, each with an HDTV. Both bedrooms have mountain view and windows. The one bedroom has a queen-sized mattress, a comfortable chair and ottoman, as well as a private entrance to the lower-level bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The lower level bedroom has two twin XL sized beds. The bedroom is located down the hall from the lower-level bathroom. A washer/dryer is located in the laundry room on the lower level. An inner door leads into a large garage attached to this house.

The lower level features a courtyard that has an outdoor dining table for four people and a hot-tub. Nearby, a fun wood-burning fireplace is situated with cool stone seating. The yard is well-maintained and has a unique level landscaping. This is rare for such high altitudes. The level parking and paved roads make it easy to reach this mountain getaway from your home.

This is a great mountain vacation destination with high-speed WiFi, central heat and cooling, 4 HDTVs, digital cable TV and ROKU smart TV, a generator for peace of mind, parking for four or more vehicles on level ground, and roads that are well maintained during winter weather.

***Despite what was said previously, this is an extremely quiet mountain community. Many families live in the area all year round. The owners will not allow loud or rowdy visitors. They want to share their peaceful mountain retreat with couples and families. They will respect the quiet hours of 9pm and later.

CANCELLATION POLICY - You can cancel your booking within 24 hours and receive a refund in full. If you cancel your reservation within 30 days, you will receive half of what you paid. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival are not eligible for refunds. If you purchased travel insurance, you may be able to recover the entire amount if your cancellation was covered.
