Spanning 100 miles from Richmond to Virginia Beach, Virginia - this festival of lights offers a wide range of events and activities for all ages! Virginia’s first drive-through holiday light event, Celebration in Lights opens for its 22nd season on Thanksgiving night (November 27, 2014).
This light show will dazzle and shine with more than two million lights, providing a colorful backdrop to the wide range of events and activities for the young and young-at-heart.
Lighted boat parades, city illuminations, festivals, parades, living history re-enactment's, caroling, dining events, music and dance are among the many activities occurring throughout the region.
The Lee Hall Depot Train Station display, new for 2014, was constructed in the 1880s as part of the Railroad’s efforts to establish its Atlantic terminus at Newport News, in order to link the Ohio River Valley with the sea.
