The festival draws over 200,000 visitors to this town rich in history and tradition in the foothills of the Appalachians. You will find yourself strolling down shaded brick sidewalks in the 20-square-block historic district, as if you have stepped into a time capsule. The festival offers plenty of entertainment, including an enormous antiques market, juried art and photography competitions, and a juried arts and crafts show, as well as nationally-known writers, lecturers, and visual and performing artists.
