Get an entire house to yourself. Situated on the Hilo side of the Big Island in the friendly and quiet community of Puna Beach Palisades. Sweeping ocean and garden views from every window. Ideally located for a peaceful and relaxing vacation, but plenty to do nearby if you like adventure. Only 3 blocks from the water and less than a 10-minute walk to beautiful Kehena black sand beach.
The main house has an open floor plan, king-size bed, full kitchen, lanais and incredible indoor/outdoor shower. The magical garden ohana has queen-size bed and environmentally friendly partial bathroom. You haven’t experienced Hawaii until you’ve awakened to singing birds in an authentic Big Island kipuka!
We pay a lot of attention to detail, and you’ll notice it, too, in the quality of our amenities--like high-thread count, all-cotton sheets and fluffy bath and beach towels, fresh flowers, a complimentary food basket upon arrival and a convenient washer and dryer.
What's more, expanded maid service, traditional and water (watsu) massages, yoga instruction and a concierge (to answer your questions about places to go and things to do) are available upon request.

The main house has a fully furnished, open floor plan that includes a comfortable living room area with TV and DVD player, a four-person dining table, and a kitchen (minus dishwasher) with gas range, refrigerator, microwave, blender, coffee-maker, toaster and all the tableware and cooking gear necessary to make fabulous meals (if you’re a good cook; otherwise, all bets are off). High-thread count cotton bed linens, fluffy bath towels, and large beach towels are provided at no additional charge. In addition, the house includes a stereo with CD player (bring your favorite music), DVD library, games, an umbrella, teak lanai furniture, a large washer/dryer, and a gas barbeque.
The main house has a phone/answering machine/intercom. The ohana also has a phone/intercom. Calls within the local calling area, which covers the entire island, are free. For long distance calls, please use a calling card or call collect. Any direct dialed long distance calls must be reimbursed at the rate of $0.10 per minute. Unfortunately or fortunately, most cell phones do not work in our part of Puna.

When you stay at our inviting Puna home, you’re less than a 10-minute walk from Kehena Beach, a stunning black sand oasis where spinner dolphins leap and twirl close to shore.
We're only 20 minutes from the quaint town of Pahoa, complete with good restaurants, a movie theater, typical town services, and a natural foods store. There's even an Olympic-size swimming pool open to the public!
Down the road you'll find natural steam vents and the volcanic-heated, salt-water Ahalanui Warm Ponds—perfect for soaking and relaxing.
Close by, in the teeming Kapoho Tide Pools, there's first-rate snorkeling.
It's only a short three-mile drive to the entrance to the fiery goddess Pele’s lava fields, where you can hike to the edge of the Big Island -- a place where lava meets ocean and percolates up through molten rock.
And, if you want a city adventure, historic Hilo, with its art galleries, botanical gardens and five-star dining, is only 45 minutes away.
