McNamara's Landing - Montana Cabin Rentals - Montana Family Vacation
In the morning the low pockets of fog lift off the shoulders of the gray-green mountains. The mountain goats stumble awake on the mountain sides and the elk make a low, rumbling call for the day to begin.
Then the sky explodes into a blue canopy over miles of forest and river. Nestled in those mountains is a place rich in the history of both the hopes and dreams of past frontiersman and the many tribes of Native Americans. The same dreams and hopes that still thrive today.
Welcome to McNamara's Landing!
Located 16 miles East of Missoula, Montana, McNamara's Landing offers Montana riverside rental cabins on the beautiful and famous Blackfoot River of " A River Runs Through It", a classic book by Norman McLean, where you're likely to see those deer, elk or mountain goats.
The beauty of the Blackfoot River and Western Montana offers you a great Montana Family Vacation and our Montana Cabins nestled on the banks of the Blackfoot with give you a Montana vacation you'll remember for a lifetime. Sit and relax, enjoy the solitude the Big Sky Country will give you or take part in one of the many outdoor activities or tour the outstanding beauty and history of Montana at your leisure.
McNamara's Landing offers a shuttle service for raft or inner tubers, as well as handling tube rentals for an individual or family inner tube float down the Blackfoot River. On a hot summer's day, an inner tube float is just the answer floating down one of West's most beautiful rivers!
In the late 1800's logs were banked on the shores of the Blackfoot River and later floated down during the spring high water, today there can be found rustic and authentic log cabins. The same tradition of hard work and family of men and women who worked in the logging camps remains true today.
The Blackfoot River which brought the community to life through industry is now home to numerous recreational activities including fishing, rafting, water tubing, along with activities in the beautifully rugged and forested public land.
Today it's also where our family works and plays and where we hope you'll stay to rest and recoup. Come enjoy the wild, green mountains and the rocky, blue shores of the Blackfoot River with our family and yours with one of our Montana Cabin Rentals for a great Montana Family Vacation!
