Enjoy the charm and affordability of this quintessential mountain cabin! Perched on a hillside bluff, this tin-roofed cabin offers stunning views of Phoenix Mountain, a spacious open layout, and plenty of privacy. Soak in the peace and quiet from your covered front porch (the hammock is calling you!) or from the back deck, outfitted with a gas grill and dining table for cookouts and entertaining. Enjoy your favorite beverage while the kids play a little corn hole and the dog romps in the big yard!
 
On the main level, directly off the front porch, you’ll find the great room, with a kitchen-dining-living room combination, crowned by a high, wood-beamed ceiling. The wood stove provides coziness and ambiance, as you cuddle on the comfy furniture and relax with a little TV. Firewood, Netflix and a DVD player are provided for your enjoyment. The kitchen is ready for family meals, equipped with a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and plenty of counter space. The dining table seats 6.

The main level also provides two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with a full. These bedrooms share a full bath with a claw-foot tub/shower combo. The master suite is located in the loft and features a queen-sized bed with a small private bathroom.

From this home base you can easily access the natural attractions of the High Country, including the Blue Ridge Parkway and the New River. Local New River outfitters will equip you with everything you need for days of fun and adventure, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing.

This is where you come to revel in the Great Outdoors. Other High Country recreation opportunities include hunting, hiking, biking, zip-lining, cave exploration and more, all within easy reach. Wherever you go, gorgeous scenery awaits you at every turn. The Blue Ridge Parkway is America's most beautiful road, with awe-inspiring views and photo opps. Lansing is a quaint and tiny mountain town known for the best pizza in the region, at Pie on the Mountain. Drive 15 minutes to West Jefferson to find more restaurants and terrific shopping, including antique stores and art galleries. Sample the local crafts and harvests at the Ashe County Farmers Market or watch cheese being made at the world-famous Ashe County Cheese Factory. There’s even 2 movie theaters. This is small-town Americana at its finest.

Mountain Aire Golf is a gorgeous public course in West Jefferson, offering 18 holes of beautifully-maintained fairways, with amazing scenery and very reasonable prices. Rental clubs, carts and lessons are available, as well as a full-distance driving range and a practice green with a sand bunker.

Drive a little further to Boone or Blowing Rock, for an even wider assortment of dining, entertainment and shopping options. Tour the campus of Appalachian State University, or visit our craft breweries.
