The house location is wonderful. Short walk to the beach but there are significant stairs to get over the dunes just an FYI. Not a problem. House is cute. Shower in master is tiny again more of an FYI than a problem. Welcome bag was helpful as we forgot a sponge. Sent a comment to management and it was fixed quickly.

The Salty Shamrock was a great location! Just a short walk down a boardwalk, over the dune and you're on the beach. There is a life guard chair close by. The Corolla bike path is just a block away making it easy to go for a bike ride.

The house was no frills but clean and provided all the basics. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and kitchen ware. Bring your own seasonings and oil. Kitchen linens were suppose to be included, but we did not see any. Luckily I had tossed in a few kitchen towels when I was packing.

There are beach chairs and sand toys available, so no need to haul yours along. Definitely bring a flashlight if you have want to hit the beach after dark to look for ghost crabs.

We had a great time at the Salty Shamrock and were sad to leave. It's a great location, close to the beach, grocery store, Duck Donuts and the Corolla bike path.

Had a wonderful weekend at the beach.
Early confusion about wifi was cleared up with the kind and swift attention of property manager. The number of steps was a bit challenging for elders but we all managed. The one negative of whole experience is that leaving Saturday before noon the traffic is horrible. We thought we would beat it by leaving at 8 am which apparently was the strategy of 100% of that week's renter. 3 hours to get from Corolla to turn for mainland? Brutal.
I spent the extra time in the car admiring my tan.

This rental is very close to the beach with a boardwalk. Parking is very limited especially if a lot of rain occurs while at the beach. The 30 steps/stairs to the top floor are very steep and narrow.

The Salty Shamrock was great! The location is super close to the beach (although those stairs are a killer!)The house is set up simply. The kitchen could use a little rearranging - a few less pots and pans and a little more cabinet space to store your food would be very helpful. The folks at Beach Realty were very accommodating as well. They were both patient and kind with my family who was very tired (and just a bit cranky) after a long drive to Corolla. (Beware of the traffic congestion around Duck!) I would definitely recommend the Salty Shamrock.

Great location, within walking distance to grocery store. Plenty of restaurants in the area that were phenomenal. Such a short walk to the beach! Only tip is make sure to bring toilet paper, only thing they don't provide. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook.

We have stay in this rental at least five times now, and what I love the most about it is that if you are coming to OBX to enjoy the BEACH...this house is perfect. Personally, I am a minimalist and I enjoy the fact that this house is literally JUST a house with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, deck where you can see/hear the ocean and a boardwalk out back to take you there. The house has nothing fancy or over the top, just all the basic you need to comfortable enjoy your time at the beach.

What a great little spot! We were steps from the ocean and right in the mix of all the Outer Banks has to offer. This is a wonderful place for a small family or little group of friends. We loved that it was pet friendly, too! The only complaint was the living room furniture. Both the love seat and couch could stand to be replaced. You sink in and can't get up!

This was our 2nd year staying at Caliban's Cabana. It was our 7th year at the beach. We enjoyed our stay. With the exception of one of the burners on the stove not operational everything was fine. It is a short walk to the beach from the Cabana. We usually have 4 to 6 people staying at the Cabana.
