Wilderness Lodge, a five-bedroom luxury Adirondack style mountain home, has a Disney theme. Fans and enthusiasts will enjoy it, but those who are not Disney fans won't be overwhelmed. Wilderness Lodge is a luxury mountain home with panoramic views of the mountains. It is located on a mountain-top property at a high elevation in a gated neighborhood. The parking area has been paved. Parking is available in the large garage for two cars, outside the garage on lower level, or in the large parking area in the upper level. If necessary, there is enough space to park up to ten vehicles in the various parking areas.

 

Please note that Wilderness Lodge does not allow pets or animals. If you would like to bring your pet with you, please choose another home that is dog-friendly.

The front door opens into an impressive foyer, with high ceilings, exposed beams and custom ironwork, as well as beautiful hardwood floors. This leads to the living area, which has comfortable, upscale furniture in front of a large wood-burning fire. The living room has a 3D SmartTV with BluRay and AppleTV. The rear wall of the living room has large windows that frame a stunning unobstructed mountain view.

 

The dining area is open to the living room and has a dining table with eight seats. The adjacent sunroom features a six-seater breakfast table that can accommodate up to 14 people for mealtime. Additional seating is provided by four bar stools on the kitchen island. The sunroom has a powder bathroom, a desk and windows that let in sunlight and show off Grandfather Mountain.

 

The custom kitchen is adjacent the dining area and open to the living and dining areas, as well as the foyer and sunroom. The kitchen features plenty of custom cabinetry and granite countertops. It also has stainless appliances such as a microwave, dishwasher, multiple ovens, a convection-oven, a side-by-side fridge and freezer and a gas stove with six burners. The large center island has plenty of preparation space on its granite top. It also features a wine fridge, wine rack and extra drawers. Four barstools flank the island.

 

Two master suites feature king-sized beds. The main floor master suite has a dual-zone Sleep Number king-size bed with double-mattress, allowing each guest to adjust firmness, temperature, and the height of the foot and head of the bed. The master bedroom has a gas log fireplace made of stacked stone with a hand-carved surround, a flat-screen Smart TV, and Blu-ray player. The main floor master bathroom features a Jacuzzi style, two-person jetted bathtub, a fully enclosed 3-head slate shower, a granite double vanity, commode and laundry chute, as well as a double granite sink.

 

The master bedroom upstairs is a large room with a king-sized bed and two twin-sized beds. It can comfortably accommodate four people. This master suite has a Juliette deck with a view, a full bathroom, vaulted ceilings and a fully-tiled shower and tub. The bedroom is equipped with a Smart TV and BluRay Player.

 

The upstairs master suite is connected to two additional bedrooms by a Jack-and Jill bathroom featuring custom tile work, granite double vanities and a tub and shower. The full bedroom has a Smart TV and a gas log fireplace. It also has a Juliette deck with a view. The twin bedroom is decorated in a "Pooh's Corner", and features a Smart TV with BluRay Player.

 

The first floor has a large movie room and den with the Liberty Tree Tavern bar, which includes an ice maker as well as a refrigerator/freezer. A 75-inch High Definition 3D Smart TV is mounted over the bar. It features the latest Apple TV, BluRay Player and Apple TV. Enjoy the large stone fire place with gas logs. There are also plenty of comfortable rocking chairs, sofas and recliners. You will find a child's play area with a dartboard and many creative items under the stairs. The Hue lighting system allows you to select from a variety of lighting options in the theater room. On the opposite side of the room, there is a dedicated gaming screen with a brand-new Playstation 4 and Nintendo Wii along with games and other accessories. The room also includes a 12-foot African Mahogany Shuffleboard table, as well as a tournament-sized Foosball table.

 

On the lower level, there is also a large bedroom with "Noah's Ark", a stone fireplace with gas logs and a Smart TV with BluRay Player. There is also a king size bed. The lower level includes a full bath and a large laundry area with high-efficiency front-loading washing machine and dryer.

 

Step out from the lower level to the "Adventureland Veranda" and enjoy the top-of-the line hot tub with lights, waterfalls, and more. Or, walk down to a unique rock garden that was built around a massive boulder. On the ground level, there is a clearing with a fire pit and mountains on one side. The giant boulder is on the other. Enjoy the solar lights with built-in Bluetooth speakers while at the fire pit. The expansive deck on the main floor features an outdoor dining area, a gas barbecue and open-air seating.

 

The home has Bluetooth devices in every room. You can connect your devices in every room of the house, including the den/theater, living room, and bedroom.

 

You will find Disney collectibles, advertising and Disney memorabilia on every level of Wilderness Lodge. These items are owned by Disney collectors and Disney enthusiasts. They want to share their passion for Disney and decades of collecting with guests staying at the Wilderness Lodge, both young and old.

 

Important Information

Wilderness Lodge is situated in a private neighborhood. We ask that groups respect the neighbors. Please be aware that sound travels through the mountains.

After 10 pm, there is a countywide ordinance on noise.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

You can cancel your booking within 24 hours and receive a refund in full. If you cancel your booking more than 60 calendar days before your arrival, you'll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 60 days of the arrival date will not be refunded. If you have purchased travel insurance, and the reason of the cancellation is covered by the policy, you can recover the full amount.

 

Additional Information:

Winter weather can be unpredictable, even though the home is located in a gated, well maintained neighborhood with a snow-plower. Taking precautions to avoid any problems is always a wise idea. As with any rental home, we recommend a 4-wheel-drive vehicle and chains for winter visits.
