Summit Blue Mountain House is located at the top of Beech Mountain. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than two miles away. This getaway home offers winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding and ice skating. Then, during the warmer months, you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking and chairlift rides. Enjoy a drink at 5506' Skybar, and other convenient Beech Mountain coffee shops and restaurants. The Emerald Outback is a great place to hike, bike or ski. Buckeye Recreation Center is a three-mile drive away and offers basketball, tennis and racquetball court, a playground and Buckeye Lake, where you can go fishing or paddle boating. Six (6) miles from the property is the town of Banner Elk, which has attractions such as Lees-McRae College and Sugar Creek Gem Mining. The Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster and the Banner Elk Winery are also nearby. The living room has a wood-burning fire place, TV, kitchen, and dining area with skylights and large windows. Enjoy your favorite coffee, tea or hot chocolate at the coffee bar and then on the deck with the gas fire table. The garage game room is accessible by a separate entry and offers entertainment for all ages. It includes a poker table and a reversible backgammon and chess table, as well as a dartboard and a 60-game arcade machine. The game room has plenty of seating, a large television with streaming options and programming, as well as a mini-fridge and microwave for snacks. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, a television, and an ensuite. The queen bedroom features a TV, and has direct access to the hallway bathroom. The spiral staircase leads to a loft with bunk beds, TV and a TV. The main sofa in the living room can also be converted into a queen-size sleeper. Summit Blue Mountain House also has a washer/dryer, streaming TV, a DVD player and wifi. Reservations include two dogs. Additional pet fees apply. The gravel driveway has room for two cars and a level walkway leading to the front door. There is no air conditioning, so you can enjoy the cool mountain air. In the cooler months, baseboard wall heating is used. Book your next getaway with Summit Blue Mountain House. Beech Mountain Club guests with a reservation for Summit Blue Mountain House may apply for a membership to the Beech Mountain Club for the dates of their reservation. A membership transfer is subject to the BMC's policies. Guests will receive an email containing instructions, BMC transfer policies and the transfer application. The guest must submit this to the club at least three days before the transfer date, which cannot be earlier than your arrival date. BMC charges guests a membership transfer fee of up to $200 upon check-in. Memberships begin at the social level. BMC will accept additional fees from guests to upgrade their membership (see BMC's website for details). BMC is responsible for transferring memberships.
