This charming mountain home is located on Beech Mountain which is the highest point east the Mississippi River. Beech Mountain Ski Resort can be reached in less than five minutes. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. In the summer, the resort offers world-class hiking and mountain biking trails. Buckeye Recreation Center is 10 minutes away and has a playground with tennis and volleyball courts. There's also a fitness center and Buckeye Lake where you can boat and fish. Banner Elk with its great restaurants and shopping is only 15 minutes away. Sugar Creek Gem Mining is another attraction in the High Country.
