Property Description

The Oz Cathedral is located at 5,345' above sea level on Beech Mountain. The neighborhood is only a short walk from the top chairlift, Skybar 5506 and the neighborhood entrance. Enjoy spectacular sunrises, sunsets, Fall colors and views of over 40 miles from the 2+-story windows and private decks. From different parts of the house, you can see three states. The location and views from Oz Cathedral are unmatched. Oz Cathedral is a spacious 5 bedroom, 3 bath mountaintop cabin available for private use. You will be amazed by the 2-and-a-half-story vaulted roofs and floor to ceiling windows that showcase what this place is all about...the breathtaking VIEW. You can see Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain from the top of the clouds. Mount Mitchell and Roan Mountain are also visible.

★On the main floor★The living room has double sofas that surround the fireplace, which stretches from floor to ceiling. Swivel chairs are positioned in front of the window. The dining area, with 10+ seats, is surrounded by windows. The gourmet kitchen, with its granite counters and stainless appliances, including a gas stove, is also fully equipped. These areas open onto a two-tiered patio with a raised fireplace and grilled gas.

The main floor is also home to the master bedroom, which has a queen-sized bed, fireplace, a full stone bathroom with soaking tub and its own private deck!

There is also a half-bath and laundry room on the main level. There are linens and towels included, so you don't have to make the beds yourself. Toiletries, dish and washer soap, trashbags and tp in starter amounts are provided.

The walls, ceilings and floors are made of wood and stone, creating a beautiful and inviting mountain experience.

★Upstairs★The loft den offers breathtaking views and 4 bedrooms with queen-sized beds. The den has a smart TV, puzzles, games, books and more.

★Downstairs★The garage is a great place to get into your snow gear and warm up. A game room adjoining the home offers bumper pool, foosball and a large TV, as well as other games (corn hole, table pong, etc.). It's a great place to play.

You will spend most of your time on the massive deck. The 180-degree views to the southwest are breathtaking and expansive. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets towards Cherry Gap in the evenings, and misty sun-dappled days while drinking coffee or tea. Some mornings start with fog and you feel like the only person in the world. The chalet is located in Beech Mountain, a small vacation town in North Carolina. The mountaintop location, small-town charm and the ambiance of the chalet create a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. You can visit many attractions and places to interest you in the serene setting and natural surroundings. Both Beech Mountain & Banner Elk have a wide range of activities at their fingertips, including skiing/snowboarding and snow tubing.
