The house is surrounded with palm trees, fruit trees, and a meadow that stretches to the Atlantic Ocean. The wrap-around deck is a perfect spot for enjoying the breezes from the Atlantic Ocean while eating outdoors on the new six person dining table. Stretch out on the outdoor sectional and listen to music.The children can enjoy playing in the grass area or exploring the neighbourhood. Relax on the two-person hammock and read a book or enjoy a cocktail. Once you enter this log home you will be welcomed with the airiness of the twenty-eight foot ceiling and the tropical decor throughout. The open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen will allow you to visit and enjoy your vacation with all of your family members. Enjoy watching tv using your Netflix account from home or hook up your iPod/MacBook/iPad to our stereo docking system. Free WiFi is offered at the house. Listen to Bahamian or Nuttin radio station through live streaming on your laptop and surround yourself with Bahamian music. The two bedrooms are extremely large and each comes with an ensuite bathroom. The master suite has a king size four poster bed, while the second suite has two queen sleigh beds. The two bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. The windows of the house can be opened to enjoy the beautiful Atlantic breeze or the two A/C units can be used to cool the main floor of the house. For those who need extra sleeping room the open loft is equipped with a queen bed and a twin bed. A third washroom/laundry room (washing machine) is available off the main living area. The entire house has ceiling fans. The house is located on the most fantastic cottage road (quiet and relaxing) and has easy access to the Queen's Highway. Beautiful linens, bath towels, and beach towels have been chosen with care and attention to quality. The kitchen is equipped with all of the necessary utensils, cutlery, coastal dishes, and turquoise glassware. It also has a fridge with freezer, microwave, blender, gas stove/oven, blender, coffee maker, and four slice toaster. A small selection of spices are provided. We ask that vacationers replenish those spices that they deplete. The next vacationer will appreciate your kindness. The dining room table can easily sit six people and there is additional seating at the breakfast peninsula which has two seagrass stools. A short walk along the path (150 metres) takes you to a breathtaking, deserted Banana Beach (Atlantic Ocean) where you can beach comb, snorkel, suntan, or get lucky enough to swim with wild dolphins. A 10 minute walk along the beach or cottage road (Old Bank's Road) will take you to Sky Beach Club and Pascal's Restaurant where you can enjoy a cocktail at the swim-up bar or dine while taking in the view of the Atlantic Ocean. The infinity pool and hot tub can be used free of charge and our guests are welcomed by Sky Beach's terrific staff and managers. If you would like homemade cooking in the villa. Please ask our staff and they will cook for your family at a very reasonable price. Our staff will shop for local seafood and produce, prepare the meal, and provide clean up. This is a truly Bahamian experience that our guests love! For additional sleeping accommodations, we have our cottage available. Orchid Cottage has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open living and dining area. The combination of Shangri-La and Orchid Cottage would comfortably sleep thirteen to sixteen guests.
