Property Description

Tucked within a quiet hillside neighborhood and featuring gorgeous views of forest land, this picture-perfect west shore vacation home perfectly balances an old Tahoe feel with modern updates. Escape the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy easy access to Lake Tahoe hiking, biking, and skiing, all within a convenient distance of Bluerock Retreat.

Upon entering the cabin, you will be stunned by the high vaulted ceilings and skylights that create an expansive open feel. The great room features an oversized sectional couch wrapping around the TV and fireplace, making an engaging area that flows into the dining area. The generous kitchen with abundant storage and counter space is perfect for a family to gather or entertain friends. A balcony off the main floor features coveted forest views and backs up to acres of open space. 

Heading up the small flight of stairs, you find a spacious master suite that offers unique and comfortable furnishings, including a cozy fireplace, a personal workspace, an enclosed balcony, and an en-suite bath with a jetted bathtub. Plus, since this bedroom doesn't share its level with any other room, it offers plenty of privacy to retreat. 

 On the main level, down the hall, are two additional guest rooms. The queen bedroom is outfitted with a seating area and fireplace, which creates a perfect environment for reading or relaxation. Across the hall is the bunk room, which features a twin bed and provides three sleeping spaces for extra comfort for additional guests.

ABOUT THE AREA

Conveniently located two miles south of Tahoe City, you’ll find the quintessential Tahoe neighborhood of Sunnyside. This heavily wooded section on Lake Tahoe’s west shore features Old Tahoe style homes and classic cabins. Homes in this neighborhood are all centrally located between Homewood and Tahoe City.

Just down the road you’ll find Sunnyside Resort and Marina and William Kent Shoreline. William Kent Beach is situated in a wooded setting and offers picnic tables and grills with views across Lake Tahoe of the eastern shoreline. Next door, Sunnyside Resort is a favorite year round lakeside dining option.

During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort. Or travel to Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe.  Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.
