Whether it's world class fishing for bass/pike/lake trout, hiking, boating or golfing or just plain old relaxing, the Belgrade Lakes region has it all. There are many miles of well-maintained trails through the Kennebec Highlands(get a map downtown at Day's Store) and local guides specializing in fishing trips. Head down to Castle Island Camps to get great local advice on the best fishing on Long Pond. World class rafting trips on the Kennebec, Dead and Penobscot rivers are only 90 minutes away. The famous LL Bean store and Freeport outlet shopping is only a 45 minute drive from the lake. The
Belgrade Community Center also offers fun summer activities for the kids.
