This brand new log cabin is set on over 2 acres of a private mountainside that goes all the way down to the creek in the valley. Battle Branch Chalet features 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a fabulous living room with a stone wood burning fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen is a great room design, so you will always be part of your family’s activity. The separate dining area boasts large windows on three sides, so the mountain views can be constantly enjoyed. More windows grace the living room making the Battle Branch Chalet very bright inside.
Outside, you can relax on the covered deck and enjoy the view of the valley rising up before you to the Smoky Mountains. Hiking the area will provide you with plenty of opportunities to see the wildlife and the trees and plants of the mountains. When back at the cabin, you can relax in the new hot tub or enjoy a movie on the HD-TV while listening to the cracking fire in the fireplace. Battle Branch Chalet is air conditioned by nature.
For more outdoor activities, you are midway between the best whitewater rafting in the east on the Nantahala River, the beauty of the Appalachian Trail and the most visited National Park in the country, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up of any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture will be subject to additional fees. All pets must be up to date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations and must be free from fleas. All pets are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical fela and tick repellent three days prior to arrival. The cabin owners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises. |

We spent a week at your lovely cabin in mid October 2008. This is a very peaceful,relaxing new cabin. We spent several days at the cabin, not going out for anything. We just relaxed and read books sitting on the porch watching the leaves change before our eyes.
There are a few suggestions I will make for a more comfortable stay. The glider chair in the living room is not very strong. A heavy person should not sit in it. A clock radio would be helpful for getting up early to take the "Smokey Mountain" train ride, as you have to be there early. A few things do need to be added to the kitchen for those that do most of the cooking at the cabin. I did leave a list upon our departure.
Would I stay there again. Definitely!!!
We were close to Cherokee, Sylvia, the Blue Ride Parkway and of course Bryson
City. We did day trips and half day trips and were not far from anything we wanted to do. The directions we were given to get to the cabin were excellent. Again we had a great family time!!!
