WELCOME TO THE SAINT HELENA ROAD VINEYARDS ESTATE HOME
Why should our Estate Home be your choice for your premium wine country travels? ‘Spectacular beauty, privacy, luxurious accommodations, a vineyard and winery destination and attention to detail’, are our answers.
Our home was created for comfort and your enjoyment. The warmth of Tuscan gold walls surrounds you and magnificent original wall paintings are everywhere. Our kitchen is a delight, stocked for preparing meals and equipped to keep a professional chef happy.
The patio barbeque brings you outside should you choose and the Hot Tub under the stars relaxes the muscles and sooths the spirit. Maybe, you’d like a massage on the leather massage lounger, or the touch of a pro masseuse on the massage table on the loft above the Master Suite?
Slip down the spiral staircase where you’ll find the French Country Canopy bed with 800 or more count linens and a bed that is like sleeping on a cloud. Spend the evening dancing to the Baldwin Concert Grand player piano in the cellar dining room. Finish your day sampling our pride and passion our ‘Roy J Maier’ Bordeaux style wine, grown and crafted right here in the back country of Sonoma.
Surpassing your expectations is our goal and desire.
Please join us in the spectacular Mayacmas Mountains of Sonoma for a very special adventure.
Cheers!

"The Big House" sits high on a ridge between our north and south vineyards. Set your sights to the north and Mount Saint Helena dominates the view. To the south lies the Santa Rosa plain, with the coastline on the horizon. The Napa County line is a four mile drive to the east with the town of Saint Helena ten minutes beyond, and the Russian River area expands to the west.
The house is a tri-level, passive solar design, with the front entry on the lowest level. This lower story contains a carpeted suite, with a bedroom and a queen size pillow top, quilted, Stearns and Foster bed set. The dresser and valances are adorned with hand painted flowers and a comfy, pineapple, wicker rocker sits in the corner.
The sitting room has a down filled sofa to cuddle on, with a television and stereo if you desire. This room converts into a bedroom with use of the Murphy bed containing a "Temper-pedic" queen size mattress, a space age foam that forms to the contour of your body. There are hand painted appointments and a painting by artist John Michener. The bathroom has a his/her shower, with hand painted tiles and a sunset ceiling mural with walls that are fauxed to match.
The entry area leads you up a plush, carpeted stairway, to the central level. Here you will find the living room and balcony, the grape room, the kitchen and dining area, and the Master Bedroom and bath on the mezzanine. The living room has two custom, down-filled sofas facing each other over a glass coffee table, forming the conversation area. This area is surrounded by large windows that face the northern view of Mount Saint Helena.
A large, leather chair fills a corner next to a fire lit pellet stove. The walls are fauxed a warm, Tuscan yellow-gold and covered with large paintings of original artwork. Slide open the glass door and step out onto the balcony high above the vineyard below. In a small room off of the living room, beneath the stone bridge, you'll find a personal retreat known as the grape room. Step in,to the sound of running water from the corner fountain. There is one chair in the room's center, a leather recliner, a Panasonic full massage model, and it's just for you! The walls and the ceiling are painted in giant grapes and you'll feel like a grape in the canopy as you relax and gaze out the window.
The kitchen is caterer ready. A Dynasty, six-burner gas range/oven allows for professional preparation, and a Kitchenaid commercial dishwasher with built-in garbage disposal finishes the job. Faux finishes and custom, hand-painted tiles surround the working area and a view of the pond is outside the kitchen window. In the adjoining eating area is a spacious table with upholstered chairs, and a matching buffet. The room has large windows that look out upon the south vineyards.
Take three steps up onto the mezzanine and you'll enter the Master Bedroom suite, complete with a French country, canopy bed. The king size, quilted, pillow top Stearns and Foster mattress completes the set. The suite contains a 22 foot ceiling and private massage loft with a fully adjustable table and an exotic feinting couch.
The suite is fully carpeted and warmed by firelight. Fall asleep to the music of your bedroom stereo system as you gaze up at the original artwork ceiling mural. Awake in the morning and enter the master bathroom, and step down into the sunken tub. There is a his/her double shower if you prefer.
Leaving the Master Suite from the loft, you'll cross the stone bridge to the reading loft, where a soft sofa and a stuffed chair awaits your reading pleasure. Climb down the "firehouse" spiral staircase from the reading loft and you return to the living room. Exit out the rear door to the patio and enjoy the mountain environment from the teak furniture, or climb into the Hot Springs Spa and revel in the show of stars.
For dining and dancing for groups from 2 to 32, we present our cellar dining facility. Equipped with a Baldwin Concert Grand Player Piano and painted with scenic wall murals of our vineyards, this room is the essence of elegance in a country setting. Kick up your heels on the custom, granite dance floor, and visit the hidden, underground wine cellar. This is an entertainment room like no other. Professional caterers are available at your request. |
