Drake's Beach House is one of our homes fronting the beautiful Drake's Beach, a neighborhood beach with many sandy areas, great swimming and boating, and good fishing holes, home to herons and osprey. Along this stretch, most of the homes have limited or no river views because shrubs and trees protect the privacy of the homes from the beach. This home, however, does have some river view, yet retains privacy. Generally used only by those in this tiny neighborhood, this beach is tranquil and uncrowded.
With three bedrooms and two and a half baths, Drake's Beach House can sleep 11. The home consists of two flats with no interior connection. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double and twin bed (bunk beds), the other with a Cal-King bed. Facing the river is a spacious open kitchen/dining/family room with two double sleepers in a comfortable L-sofa unit, focusing on a 37" HDTV. This room, opening to a dining deck with gas barbecue and river view, also has a wood-stove and a dining set that can seat 8 - 10. There is a full bath with tub/shower on this level, plus a half bath. At the entry to the house is a small, comfortable living room.
Downstairs there is a master bedroom with queen bed, plus a living room sleeper and a bathroom with tub/shower. Both flats have full kitchens, although the only oven is in the downstairs unit. The house provides a total of seven sleeping spaces. For those who want to stay connected, there is high-speed Internet access.
The fenced yard includes a deck with hot tub, plus nearby shower with hot and cold water and a gate to the access path down to the beach. A single kayak, inflatable boats, and inner tubes provide fun on the river. Boat rentals at Johnson's Beach are a mile down river.

Off-season, the upper unit can be rented alone at a 40% discount, cleaning fee of $120 or the lower unit at a 60% discount, $80 cleaning fee. Once one unit is rented, the other will be kept empty.
