The family room is very comfortable with a large plasma tv and direct tv with all of the movie channels. The kitchen is fit for a gourmet chef with granite counter tops, coffee grinder, gas range and a large island to prepare food. The living room has a 30 foot ceiling and makes a great entertainment area for guests. The dining room is very formal and seats 6 comfortably. In the master bedroom there is another large flat screen tv with direct tv. The deck of of the master bedroom makes a great morning retreat to sit and have coffee at while looking over the desert and Estrella Mountains. Another nice feature is that the deck has privacy with no homes behind us, just miles of desert views. The sunsets are really incredible here, and star gazing is great without the city lights.

    Property Activities
The city of Maricopa is 17 miles west of I-10 freeway. Maricopa at one time was a stage stop for the Overland Stagecoach. Now Maricopa is known for the indian casinos (4 miles south of town), Raw Hide Western Theme Park 8 miles north, Phoenix Firebird Raceway and the Starwood Wildhorse Resort. If you like Golf, desert sunsets, horseback riding and enjoying the wild west at Rawhide. You will enjoy this place. Maricopa is located between Phoenix and Tucson and a good central point for day trips.

Day Trips Galore: Tucson, with Old Tucson Western Studios, the Missile Silo Museum, the airplane graveyard, and U of A, is just 2 hours south of Maricopa. Organ Pipe National Park is a must see with the Saguaro Cactus that are 100's of years old. The Grand Canyon is 8 hours north. Sedona is only about 3 hours north of us with incredible red rock canyons. Raw Hide Western Town is about 10 minutes north of us. The airport is 30 minutes north. If you want to go rafting or tubing, there is the Salt River in the east valley. The Upper Salt River is where the Rafters go, the Lower Salt River is for tubing and Kayaking. There are wild horses that play in the river, and the Arizona canyon views are stunning. Also if you like powerboating, jet skiing or fishing, be sure to check out Canyon Lake and the surrounding Lakes near the Superstition Mountains. There is a paddle boat called Dolly for lake sight seeing trips. Lake Pleasant is in north Phoenix and is another great water recreation area.

The Super Bowl in 2008 and other activities: Yes, this year the Superbowl will be in Phoenix. Rather than staying at very high priced resorts and struggling to find rooms in Phoenix, stay at our place, and drive in to the events. NHRA Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals are coming up on 22nd thru 24th followed by the NHRA Division 7 Opener February 22nd thru March 2nd. The raceway is just a 15 miles north of our Maricopa house, you pass by the raceway to get to Maricopa. Spring Training is alway a fun time with the Cactus League. Baseball games are scheduled all over the valley and down to Tucson as well. The Fiesta Bowl is always a big draw around the holidays. Additionally, Phoenix many other spring activities like the Ostrich Festival and Cinco de Mayo. This is great horse country too. Wild Horse Pass has cattle drives, ranching lessons, and breakfast and dinner rides. They are only 14 miles north and near Rawhide Western Town.

Ski: If you like ski season. Check out our other home in Breckenridge Colorado. It is a 4 bedroom townhome at Highland Greens near the Nordic Ski Center. www.findrentals.com #23667

Golf: The Duke Golf Club (named after John Wayne) is nearby with incredible desert views and a very nice clubhouse with restaurant. If you would like to visit the countless other golf courses in the Phoenix area, you are only 30 minutes away. I like the Point at South Mountain, Club West Golf Course and Ocotillo. The weather in the winter time is comparable to California with evenings in the 40's to 50's and days around 50's to 70's. This is perfect golf weather. Scottsdale is a 45 to 60 minute drive north, where the serious golfers can view the 'Phoenix Open' now referred to as the FBR open from January 28th thru the 3rd of February. Troon Golf Course is incredible too!

Community Pool, Basketball Court, Horse Shoes, Picnik Area, Golf at Duke Golf Club.
