Oakland Cottage is an historic "Arts & Crafts" style home, circa 1910, allegedly designed by Richard Sharp Smith, best known as supervising architect for the Biltmore Estate. The 5,000 square ft "cottage" has been naturally broken into private & roomy Suites, yet the integrity, spacious feel and character of this lovely historic home has been maintained with each renovation. The additional open common areas add to the spacious, warm & convenient experience.
With a capacity for up to 20 overnight guests, The Whole Cottage is perfect to rent in its entirety (minus the Inn Keepers' Apartment) for wedding groups, small retreat style meetings, family and friend gatherings
Or Reserve one of the three spacious Suites or one of the two extra value rooms, $90 to $145 per week-end night. Each Suite or Room has a private full bath, Cable TV, and coffee-maker. Some Suites include a mini-fridge & microwave and back deck.
There is an on-site laundry facilities available for your use as well as a full amenity Guest-use Kitchen available to all guests. Large common areas inside and out add to the spacious & warm feel of Oakland Cottage B&B.
There is full & hot breakfast available in the common dining area each morning.
LOCATION! One and a half miles from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate (buy your "Biltmore Estate" tickets directly from us) and 2 miles from the heart of downtown Asheville, Oakland Cottage is just off Biltmore Avenue.
The Oakland Cottage neighborhood is bordered by the Asheville High School and Asheville-Buncombe Technical College (AB-Tech), with the Historic Smith-McDowell House and Museum about two blocks away.
