Property Information |

"Eventide" has an inviting, covered wrap-around porch with attractive white lattice and plenty of room. An ample yard begs for activity by children and adults, alike. A new white fence borders one side of the yard. Each room inside the house has been personally decorated by a Bowers family member.
For a tan, we recommend the side or back yard as well as Eastville Point Beach, just a 10-minute walk from the house. For the little ones, you might try the Lagoon across the street from Eastville Beach. It is a fresh/saltwater mix and has a small stream with shallow waters entering it. The property owner remembers playing in the warm water as a child.
Those choosing our home for their vacation will be provided with a nice Island map showing the Island beaches, forest/marsh sancturaries, other natural attractions and, of course, the streets and roads with a user-friendly index.
There are many things to see and do on Martha's Vineyard by day and night (see our list). Resturants of all kinds are just a 5- to 25-min. drive or bus ride. Evenings can be enjoyed at a night club, restaurant or trips to the Flying Horses Carousel, Arcade and Game Room.
Most of the Island's night life is in downtown Oak Bluffs, with some in Edgartown. Window shoppers will appreciate Vineyard Haven in the evening as it is a "dry town," serving no alcohol. It does offer some upscale restaurants (BYOB), a restored movie theatre and mini-golf.
For your sweet tooth, there are several home-made ice cream and candy shops primarily in Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven (Tisbury). Choose a different one every day (or night) and have fun comparing! There are public golf courses and mini-golf, old-fashioned movie theatres and many other activities. Be sure to pick up tourist information at the ferry terminals and visit the Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce near each terminal.
Want to "take a hike" away from roads and cars? There are many trails on Martha's Vineyard for walking and some for biking. These are maintained by the several non-profit, volunteer land management groups.
