Adjacent to the popular Rod and Reel Pier and Restaurant, the private Rod and Reel Resort will offer guests and larger groups an unparalleled all-inclusive vacation experience. Complete with spectacular panorama waterfront views and the evening lights of the distant Sunshine Bridge, guests can enjoy every amenity imaginable in this pristine and exclusive tropical resort paradise.
The Rod and Reel Resort offers accommodations for a maximum of 30 guests in 8 individual luxury suites. Each suite features an efficiency kitchen, marble bath, television, and wifi with fantastically beautiful finishes and décor throughout. There are two full kitchens, guest laundry and ample interior common area gathering spaces for large groups to dine, watch a favorite game, entertain or simply relax. Inviting as guests will find their private suite, it is the outdoor oasis that makes the Rod and Reel Resort a truly one of a kind destination.
The truth is, most guests will find it hard to leave the comfort and amenities found right here at the resort. If relaxation is your priority, then grab a book and enjoy the incredible panoramic views from the rooftop terrace or claim a chaise in the shade of the Tiki. Fun for all ages can be had in the refreshing and crystal clear water of the large and inviting private pool or dip in the Gulf water at the resort beach. The spa has space for multiple families and is the perfect spot to unwind after a fun island day and share adventures and laughter. When it is big game day, there is no need to leave the comforts and convenience of the resort; simply reserve your seat in front of the large outdoor television and fireplace located in the gazebo or sit poolside along the counter bar. The resort is located in the heart of Anna Maria and adjacent to the famous Rod and Reel Pier. The grounds are truly incredible and feature multiple gathering spaces for sunbathing, spectacular views, and ample lounging in the cool shade of palm or tiki. Guests will enjoy the outside Gazebo equipped with a large game day TV, outdoor fireplace and beverage refrigerator. The sparkling and organic pool is the largest on any private property, and will exclusively be enjoyed by your party. The relaxing and inviting spa has ample room for 12, and guests will enjoy spectacular views and the beautiful evening lights of the distant Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Beach toys and towels are complimentary for our guests. The resort has direct access to Gulf waters and beachgoers can get their toes wet right outside their door or walk for miles on the pristine white beaches which have made Anna Maria a favorite family destination spot. The neighboring Rod and Reel Pier is a favorite island destination and famous for spectacular fishing, delicious dining and cool refreshments. The resort offers entertainment for all ages with guest kayaks/paddleboards, bicycles, ping pong, shuffleboard/corn hole all available to our guests in a beautiful and lush tropical setting. Adventurous guests will find plenty to do with many of the âmust visitâ island destinations just a short stroll from the doors of the Rod and Reel Resort. We stayed there in 2013 when it was called the Rod & Reel MOTEL. I'm 81 yrs young, don't remember there being a pool. Still have the postcard and literature. We had such a memorable time. Would love to come out again but I have two small dogs, one emotional support and one service dog. It would also be a long trip for us. The restaurant at the end if the pier was just great. So glad that you have survived the taxes and condo developements. Still have the newspaper from 2013 with that article. Wow Wow Wow! As soon as my husband and I walked into the private resort we were immediately in love with the property. We were lucky enough to book the last room for a long weekend getaway. We might have had the smallest of all the rooms but it didn’t matter. The suite was large enough for (2), very clean, the A/C worked perfect. The grounds were clean, well manicured, just simply beautiful. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay! --

Wow ! What a great spot to escape the world. Suzette did an exceptional job with the décor in each room. The attention to detail on the grounds and rooms is well done. Everything is exceptionally clean and well kept. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfy. With cooking options in your room and on site BBQ's you do not even have to leave if you do not want to. The pool and spa area is spacious and inviting. The beach is white sand and excellent for swimming and beachcombing. Lots of sea life we were fortunate to see Manatees, Rays, Dolphins and a wide variety of other fish. The on site bikes get you over to Bean Point (Amazing Sunsets) in minutes or down to Pine avenue to the General Store for snacks treats and libations. The intimacy of the resort lets you get to know other travelers staying as well. The group staying at the same time were great and we shared many drinks and dinners. Also lots of dining options close by. Oops almost forgot on site Kayaks, paddle boards and ping pong for use any time. Highly recommend this resort!! Cheers ! --

We enjoyed walking the white powder beach at Bean Point, riding our bikes around the island and stopping for a home made donut at The Donut Experiment on Pine Ave. The resort is beautiful & immaculately maintained! It’s quiet within the resort - you can be private or interact socially with the other guests. We enjoyed our host/manager Fritz immensely as well as Tyler - both were very accommodating. Had the most beautiful weather ? wish we were back!! --
