Out On A Limb, a large, sprawling mountainside home, is located in a quiet community of Blowing Rock. It has a large lot and stunning views of the mountains. The property is conveniently located to downtown Blowing rock (only 5 miles) as well as Boone (11 mile) and Banner Elk (16 mile). Blue Ridge Parkway, less than 4 miles. Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain can be found within 9 miles. The Moses Cone Manor & Park is only a 4-mile drive away, while The Blowing Rock Natural Attraction can be reached in 7.5 miles. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Beech Mountain Ski Resort are both less than 22 miles away. Seven Devils town, Otter Falls Trail, and Hawksnest Snowtubing ZipLines are all less than 11 miles from each other. Valle Crucis village, with its large riverfront parks and the original Mast General Store is less than 14 mile away. Grandfather Mountain with its famous Profile Trails is about 12 miles from the resort.
The Watauga River, the New River, and the Elk River can be reached in less than 10 minutes. Trout Lake, Bass Lake and Watauga Lake are all within a 30-mile radius. Nearby, you can enjoy whitewater rafting and tubing. Linville Caverns and Linville Falls are about 25 miles apart. The main floor has a level entry at both the front and side doors, with parking available at these entry points. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area features vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. The kitchen features beautiful granite countertops, as well as shaker-style cabinets. Some of its highlights include a stainless oven with a gas cooktop, and a stainless undermount spron-front kitchen sink. The island bar can seat four (4) bar stools and ten (10) people at the banquet-style table. You can accommodate up to fourteen (14) people at once. The adjacent living room features a beautiful wood-burning fireplace, a HD Smart TV, comfortable furniture, and a glass wall framing spectacular views of the mountains. Just off the main dining and living area is a bar with barware and glasses.
On the main floor, you will find a bedroom with a queen size bed, oversized windows that reveal mountain views, and an HD Smart TV. The main floor has a bathroom with a large, fully equipped shower. This bathroom can also be accessed from the sitting area. The sitting room features an HD Smart TV as well as a twin-daybed for additional sleeping space. It can be used as a sixth room when needed. It has a locking door to provide privacy. The gas grill is located in the covered side porch and carport from the sitting room and daybed. The rear deck offers long-range views under a vaulted gable roof. It has rocking chairs, outdoor deck chairs, and a gazebo.
The stairs leading down to the lower floor open into a cozy den, with comfortable casual furniture and a large HD Smart TV mounted on the wall. This den is the central hub for the master suite, as well as two other suites located on this level. The master suite is large with glass doors that lead out to a private lower deck, which offers the same breathtaking views as seen above! The master suite has a beautiful stone fireplace, comfortable furniture and an HD Smart television. The suite has a king size bed, a private bathroom with his and hers Quartz vanities and a large shower that features subway tiles and a frameless door. The second suite on the lower level features a queen size bed, an HD Smart television, windows with views of the mountains, and a large shower in a private bathroom with Quartz vanity. The third suite, located on the lower level, has two twin beds as well as a private bathroom with a shower and tub combination.
You can walk down from the lower-level den through an exterior side entrance to the small side patio open-air with a table, chairs and a grill. You can enter the "In-Law Suite" through the side door from here! This charming suite has a mountain view, a queen-size bedroom, an HD SmartTV, a large closet, a seating area, and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower combination.
