Property Description

A-Typical is an attractive, newly-outfitted log home with a "rustic-modern" decor that will appeal to even the most discerning vacationers. The cabin is located at 4000 feet in a quiet neighborhood on a large wooded property, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It gives you the feeling of a "tucked-in" treehouse. It is close to Blowing Rock (6miles), Boone, the Appalachian State University Campus, Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain (8 miles), as well easy access to hiking paths, rivers, lakes and ponds. The main floor features an open great room with wood flooring and vaulted-ceilings. The great room is highlighted by a stone wood-burning fire, leather furniture and HD Smart TV. The kitchen and dining room are adjacent to the great-room and open onto it. The dining area seats eight people, and a few others can sit at the bar with bar stool seating. The kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances, granite countertops, and everything you need to cook and serve a large crowd. Off the kitchen is a covered porch with outdoor dining, a gas barbecue and cosy seating. The main entry and great room lead to a large open-air porch with picnic tables, a covered side deck and a long open air front porch. On the main floor, there is a half-bathroom and a laundry area with a washer/dryer. The main master suite features a comfortable king-size mattress, a HD SmartTV, and a private bathroom with a jetted bathtub and separate tile and shower. The master bedroom has a standing desk that can be adjusted. Guests can also use a HD monitor. Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and tub combo. There is also an open loft, which has games, comfortable seating, and a twin-day bed with a twin-trundle bed. The front queen bedroom features a HD SmartTV, workspace and a covered Juliette balcony. The rear bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a twin over twin bunk bed. The upper level is enhanced by cathedral ceilings. A second workspace is available for guests, and it also includes a HD monitor. Remote work and education is easy and enjoyable at A-Typical. A-Typical offers a variety of comforts, including high-speed WiFi internet, digital cable television programming, central heating and cooling, an outdoor fireplace, and more. The property is located off the main road and has mature hardwood trees. In 2022, a wood burning fire pit and comfortable outdoor seating will be added! Wintertime provides some lovely views through the trees after the foliage has been swept away by the leaf season. This is a peaceful and charming log cabin, which has been lovingly cared for by its owners. It has many significant upgrades and updates, making it a perfect vacation destination for your family.
