Sleeps 13 - (4Q, 2T, BB, T cot) Come to Higher Ground, a beautiful and inviting 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom log cabin located near the top of a peaceful mountain. There is the master bedroom on the main floor with a queen. Head upstairs to five more bedrooms with queens in three guest rooms, one with bunk-beds and the fifth with two twins. At 3600+ square feet, Higher Ground is the perfect place to gather your family and friends and is very accommodating for retreats and reunions. The main floor features a large cozy living room with a beautiful floor to ceiling stone hearth fireplace, a large dining room area, fully stocked kitchen, secluded sun room perfect for reading and relaxing, bathroom, laundry room with washer and dryer, and master bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs, there are five more bedrooms and two bathrooms - both with double sinks. Grab a cup of coffee and rock or swing on our front porch or grill out on our back porch. Deer often roam the yard and during the summer, flickers of fireflies are sure to catch your eye. In the fall and winter, bundle up in blankets and make s'mores down by the fire pit or take the sleds for a fun run down the front yard and driveway. Ten minute drive from the legendary Grandfather Mountain and just down the road from the historic community of Valle Crucis, Higher Ground is centrally located, making it easy to visit the area attractions. Boone is home to the best ski resorts in the southeast and all four are located within 30 minutes of our cabin. Higher Ground is your mountain getaway, and the perfect place to call “home” as you experience all the High Country has to offer.
