This stunning mountain home has a beautiful view of the iconic Lone Peak. It is situated on a large wooded lot. Ski access is available for experienced skiers. Big Sky Resort, located just a short distance away, offers ski lessons for those who need them before they can enjoy the access.

The main floor features vaulted ceilings with wood beams, a slate gas fireplace with a massive hearth, an open concept with dual ovens kitchen, a dining area and living room, a stunning bar with unobstructed Lone Peak views, an office nook and large windows. The chefas' kitchen includes a large island with wine fridge and high-end stainless appliances. The master suite features a large walk in closet with laundry, a bathroom en-suite, and a fireplace. You will find a second entertainment space, a wet bar, a walk-out patio, two full bathrooms, three bedrooms and. The enclosed breezeway leading to the garage features a massive stone fireplace with wood-burning stove, slate flooring, rustic wood, and lockers for sporting goods. It's the perfect place to relax before and after a long day on the slopes. The apartment above the garage is ideal for hosting guests. It has a private bathroom and a great view of the Gallatin range.

Enjoy being just minutes away from the Beehive Basin Trailhead in the summer. This is a great spot for mountain bikers and hikers. Yellowstone is a must-see with Old Faithful, the Yellowstone Grande Canyon and many other sites. Mountain Mama's offers delicious breakfast burritos with fresh game and gourmet coffee when you pass through West Yellowstone en route to Yellowstone's West Entrance.

In the winter you can access the entire mountain via a groomed path from your back door using the Little Thunder lift at Big Sky Resort. The Beehive Basin Trailhead is very close by for hiking, Nordic skiing, and backcountry ski. Montana Yurt Dinner is a great evening activity for those looking for adventure. You will ride up the Lone Peak on a snowcat, (we recommend sitting at the top to enjoy the views of the stars) and arrive at a magical yurt hidden in the mountains. Enjoy a delicious dinner, sled and hot cocoa for dessert.

DURING THE WINTER MONTHS, (Oct. - May), FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE IS REQUIRED Winter Season: Cascade Lift operates from December to early-mid-April. Please check Big Sky Resort website for lift operations. Premier Ski AccessWeather dependent, Big Sky Resort is scheduled to operate from November 24, 2020 - April 23, 2020 for the 22/23 season. The White Otter Lift is scheduled to operate from December 16, 2022 through April 9, 2023 between 9 am and 4 pm every day. The Cascade Lift and Little Thunder Lift will be open from December 16, 2020 to April 9, 2023 (11:30 am - 4:30pm) during the winter.

*** Rope Tow Joe will not be running or replaced this winter season. Due to a lack of space, any lift or rope-tow at that location is not sustainable.

** Please be aware that the lifts may not be accessible in November, early Decembre, and April.

Start your ski day by following Little Thunder down to Cascade and then through the tunnel that runs under the road. Take the White Otter lift and then ski down to the main base area of Big Sky Resort. To reach the base area, the easiest way is to immediately turn right onto the narrow traverse to the right of White Wing.

Look for the four trail markers to return home. Follow the sign to the Cascade lift. Follow the main trail but take a sharp left at the White Otter Access Bridge. Then, continue straight down the hill, following the trail beneath the White Otter lift. Rope Tow Joe will be on your left at the base of the White Otter Lift. The rope tow will take you to the Cascade lift when you press the Start button. As you ski down Cascade, make a hard left to the Little Thunder lift. This will bring you back to 8 Little Thunder. We recommend 4 wheel driving in the winter (October-May). It's not a necessity in the summer, but we think it's a great idea! We offer discounts to all guests who book with us for rentals in Bozeman.

According to the rules of the neighborhood/HOA, events of any size are prohibited when staying on this property.

This home is not A/C equipped, like most in the area. The good ole Montana A/C is encouraged for summer guests. This involves opening windows at night, and closing them during the day. We ask that you close them during the day to keep cool air in the house.

Transportation to Big Sky from Bozeman Airport:It is important to have a vehicle available during your stay in order to enjoy all that Big Sky offers. You can travel easily from the Gallatin river to Lone Peak. In other communities, taxis and ride-sharing services are plentiful. However, Big Sky is a small community with limited transportation options. We offer a 5% off code to Explore Rentals. They are located just minutes from the Bozeman airport and offer 4 wheel drive vehicles equipped with snow tires during the winter and all season tires during the summer.
