Vacation Rental Policies

Payment Options: Reservations may be made by telephone or Email with a 50% deposit required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Deposits:   A $500 security deposit, damage/extra cleaning deposit, is required prior to check in when renting the whole house. This can be in the form a credit card authorization or by cash. Provided that there are no damages and/or extra charges (such as excessinve cleaning), credit card authorization or cash deposit will be returned usually within 5-7 working days. Should damages exceed the security deposit we reserve the right to charge the renters account the remaining balance.

Lodging Tax:   All rates add 9% tax

Cancellation Policy:   Cancellation is allowed up 30 days prior to arrival and your deposit will be refunded less a $50 service charge. If notice of cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to arrival, a 2 nights stay will charged. No show reservations will be charged in full.

Other Policies:   Bear Brook House is strictly Non smoking and no pets are allowed.

Starting a new activity - this is the place to do it ! Golf courses, Equine events and even the Harley Davidson Rallys!

There are so many photo opportunities here its hard to take a poor picture. The local camera shops carry a great selection of camera equipment and film; they can also develop your pictures in an hour

Because of the reduced amount of external lights, the star gazing here is excellent. It's also a great place for northern lights and meteor showers.
