Vacation Rental DescriptionVilla Mystic (MKA) is located on St. Jean Hillside. A panoramic view over the bay of St. Jean with the Eden Rock as the centerpiece of this view. There is a large living room and it is decorated with oriental rugs and pots. The living room opens onto the dining area and there is a large teak table that seats twelve. There are two master bedrooms, and two slightly smaller bedrooms, each w/ private bathroom. There is a 5th bedroom available under the villa, this unit is fully equipped w/ kitchen and bathroom. The pool has dark blue tiles and teak lounge chairs. There is a second sitting area outside on the deck by the infinity pool.SPECIAL NOTE: this villa rents for the list price over Thanksgiving, there are no breakdown rates. There is an outdoor shower by the pool. Property ActivitiesAnse Du Gouverneur: One of St. Barts' most beautiful beaches. Legend has it that there is pirate’s treasure is buried at one end of this very special settings. On a clear day you can easily view the islands of Saba, Eustatius and St. Kitts from the beach.Inter Oceans Museum: A collection, with more than 9,000 seashells from around the world. Great dining is located throughout town and you can easily venture all the narrow streets in a couple of hours. Shops close from noon to 2, so plan lunch accordingly. The tourist office (PHONE: 590/27-87-27) on the pier can provide maps and a wealth of information. Municipal Museum: Where you will find watercolors, portraits, photographs, and historic documents detailing the island's history as well as displays of the island's flowers, plants, and marine life. Lorient: Site of the first French settlement, Lorient is one of the island's two parishes, and is a favorite for locals that surf. Two markets and the islands only movie cinema are located here. Note the gaily decorated headstones in the cemetery. Le Manoir: One of St. Barths' treasured secrets is (PHONE: 590/27-79-27), a 1610 Norman manor that was painstakingly shipped from France and reconstructed here in 1984 by the charming Jeanne Audy Rowland in tribute to the island's Viking forebears. Look for the entrance by the Ligne St. Barth building. Lorient. Saline Beach: Considered the finest beach on the island by many. It requires a short walk over the dunes, a picnic or at least a bottle of water (no facilties) and a plenty of sun screen (no shade here). A clothing optional beach. St-Jean: St-Jean is the island's most popular beach. Located near the airport, you can view the airport traffic as it skims out across the sapphire blue lagoon. You'll also find some of the best shopping on the island here, as well as several restaurants. Toiny Coast: Beautiful yet rugged coastline. Stone fences crisscross the steep slopes of Morne Vitet, one of many small mountains on St. Barths, along a rocky shore that resembles the rugged coast of Normandy. Activities Fishing - From big game charter boats: marlin, sailfish, tuna, etc., to dangling a string off the dock. Fitness and Well Being - Several fitness centers with a wide range of equipment, aerobic and dance classes, massage, yoga, and team sports. We can arrange fitness and Pilates instructors visit you at your villa for private training. Cost is approximately €90 per hour. Hiking and Horseback riding - There are numerous trails to and from out of the way places. Sailing - Everything from crewed mega-yachts, to humble dinghies that you have to sail yourself. Surfing and windsurfing - Several bays, notably Lorient and Anse des Cayes, have suitable wave forms that are often dotted with slender, bronze enthusiasts. Tennis - At last count, there were eight tennis courts. Volleyball - St. Barths' most popular sport, with frequent tournaments. Water Skiing - Fast towboats, and a knowlege of the places where the water is flat. |
