Highland Heaven is only a 15 minute drive from Asheville Regional Airport and 10 minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway. 5 minutes down the mountain and you'll be at Lake Julian, a wooded lake/recreational facility maintained by Buncombe County. Hungry ducks await you, or you can rent paddle boats, fish or play volleyball. Enclosed children's playground also. The entrance to I-26 is only a few minutes away, with Hendersonville and Brevard (music festivals) under 30 minute drive. Flat Rock, with Carl Sandburg Home and Flat Rock Playhouse, also under 30 minutes away. Skiing in Madison County between 30-40 minute drive up I-26 and Hwy 19/23.
Calling all sports/fitness enthusiasts! Asheville Tennis Club is largest tennis facility in Western NC. No extra charge for guests except use of indoor courts. Fitness center/equipment has classes available plus an outdoor pool. Near Lake Julian, with paddle boat rentals, fishing, volleyball, picnic tables, sailing, hungry ducks and a children's fenced in play ground.

My five year old niece, who came with us, called her father and said, 'Daddy,we may not be coming home.
