Available periodically throughout the year is the cottage that overlooks the South Shore coast, best enjoyed from the turquoise waters of the horizon pool in the garden.
Close to the quiet waters of Devonshire Bay (where fresh fish can be purchased or dinner from the fisherman on their boats in the late afternoon) Devonshire is an ideal location: not 8 minutes leisurely moped ride from Hamilton (about 4 miles away ) with all its shops and cafes. Continuing up the South Shore coast heading west are all the large beautiful beaches of the South Coast- stating with Elbow Beach and going all the way to Church bay- a snorkeler’s paradise.
There are two units in the house, only one of which is available at any given time. On rare occasions both units may be available: please inquire if your party numbers 6 persons. One unit is composed of the front of the house, including a master-bedroom and bath, and a kitchen/dining area and formal livingroom.
The second unit is the converted and recently renovated bedroom wing of the house: built off to the side of the property (not behind the principal rooms), the bedroom wing has a main floor bath, bedroom, kitchen and livingroom, with a pretty second bedroom above the livingroom area, and all overlooking an entrancing cobbled courtyard, made private with walls and greenery and a shady tree where you can barbecue, enjoy the stars, the dawn and the views of the ocean. The pool is accessible during daylight hours: in the evening, the owners of the home reserve the use of the pool unless an invitation is expressly extended to guests.
The furnishings of both units are gorgeous: fresh, cool and precisely right for a tropical home on the ocean. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and all linens are supplied: we ask that you bring your own beach towels with you, as our house linens must not to go to the beach. The house-hold amenities include:
A fridge, stove top with two rings and a microwave; no dishwasher or oven. There are pots and pans...and guests have the use of a barbecue outside. There is cable television and it is possible to play dvds.
Beds: Queen upstairs: 2 twins downstairs and a futon in the livingroom, made up as a sofa.
