Real Colorado coziness is apparent in this home with its own hot tub for after skiing luxury. After a long day sink into a great wraparound sofa and watch a video, play games, or just sit back and enjoy your family and friends.
This has been our getaway from the city, so all the comforts of home are waiting for you. This includes a master bedroom with a king-size bed, whirlpool tub, another sofa, and TV for a retreat from the rest of your guests.
There are two more rooms with queen-size beds and a loft with a full queen and a twin bunk. All linens are included and we also have a full-sized washer and dryer for our longer-term clients.
Our home is nestled in the pines and aspens of the Arapahoe National Forest, one-and-a-half miles up from Silverthorne and I-70 (exit 205) in Wildernest. You will walk up to the front door past a tree-studded front yard (very natural) that adds a feeling of seclusion.
Inside the door you will overlook the main floor that includes a relaxing family area with gas-fired stove and cable TV with DVD and VCR and movies and books for your pleasure.
Next comes the dining area that seats eight to ten people. The kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, a microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. Two bedrooms, one bath, and the laundry area complete the first floor. Outside the dining area is a deck that holds both the hot tub and a gas barbecue grill.
On the upper level is the loft with a privacy screen, queen-size bed and twin bunk, and a desk. We have a wireless network with a DSL internet connection for your use. The master bedroom (with TV) is also on this level. The master bath has a private door and also a door leading to the loft.
Four world-class ski resorts: Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin are easily accessible within 20 minutes by car, or by a FREE ski shuttle. Vail and Beaver Creek are 40 minutes west on I-70.
For our non-outdoor enthusiasts, we can keep you happy too with many local restaurants and a huge selection of outlet shops that are just down the hill, less than five minutes away. Many a bargain we have found during our non-skiing hours.
Out our front door and a little to the left are the trailheads for several national forest mountain trails that lead to a gorgeous high-country lake. You can enjoy a quick walk or make a workout of it.
The Silverthorne Recreation Center is nearby with the neatest indoor swimming pool. It has multiple slides and fun things to conquer for all ages. There is also a fitness center and indoor track.
In the summer, Lake Dillon and Dillon Marina are amazing. They offer canoe, kayak, and boat rentals. Within eyesight of there are more restaurants, brewpubs, shopping, a grocery store, and an eight-screen movie theater with the newest releases.
