Property Information
Like most of Northern California, Silverthorn Resort has also grown and changed over the years—becoming one of the premier resorts on Shasta Lake. Silverthorn has some of the most luxurious boats on the lake such as the Queen I with private staterooms, a hot tub, and three full decks of space.
The Silverthorn Resort also has a floating marina with a fully-stocked grocery story, pro and apparel shop, fuel dock, private moorage, and a courtesy dock. For the less nautically inclined, we have cabins along the lake and a Pizza and Pub with live music and the best pizza (and views) on the lake.
At Silverthorn, we know that you have a lot of choices for making summer memories -and we value the time that you choose to spend with us at Lake Shasta.
Silverthorn's Houseboats
Silverthorn Resort offers four styles of houseboats with a floorplan sure to meet your vacation needs. Each houseboat is a complete floating "suite" with up to 1500 square feet of cabin and deck space. Featuring fully-railed decks, swim platforms, slides, roof-top sundecks, propane BBQs, and air conditioning.
All houseboats come equipped with modern and convenient kitchens that include a built-in range/oven, dishwasher, microwave, trash compactor, two refrigerators, and plenty of cabinet and counter space. Even the dishes, pots, pans, and silverware are included!
Our houseboats sleep from 10 to 20 adults in comfort and have two full bathrooms, providing convenience to both large and small groups.
Queen I: The Ultimate Experience
The Queen I is the largest and most luxuriously appointed houseboat in the Silverthorn fleet with 5 private state rooms, hot tub, fireplace and 2 1/2 baths. It sleeps up to 20 in grand style. Enjoy the Queen I outdoor kitchen with seating for 14 on the second deck.
Queen II: Luxury on the Lake
The Queen II is just as luxurious as the Queen I with 2 private state rooms, hot tub, and 2 full baths. It sleeps up to 16 in royal fashion.
Presidential: 2 Decks of Fun
The Presidential is well-equipped with double beds, a 6-sleeper penthouse, and 2 full baths. It sleeps up to 16 in cozy comfort.
Executive: Well-Appointed and Ready for Action
The Executive is our smallest houseboat and a great choice for those trying a houseboat for the first time. It has double beds, double bunk beds, and 2 full baths. It sleeps up to 10 in style.

Additional Rate Information
Our booking times are broken into four seasons:
Off Season: October 1 thru April 30
Prices are lowest - and availability is best.
Spring Season: May 1 - June 19
Prices are lower - and availability is good
Peak Season: June 20 thru August 13
Prices are highest - and boats must be booked well in advance
End of Summer: August 14 thru Setember 30
Prices are lower, and availability is better than high season.

With over 375 miles of shoreline, an average depth of 400 feet, and 40,000 acres of surface water, Shasta Lake has quickly become a major house boating and wakeboarding destination. The lake has hundreds of nooks, crannies, and coves creating secluded spots for all even on the busiest summer weekends.

For the fisherman, there are varieties of fish in Lake Shasta, which include: rainbow trout, brown trout, chinook salmon, largemouth bass, spotted bass, smallmouth bass, black crappie, bluegill, carp, Sacramento sucker, Sacramento squawfish, riffle sculpin, black fish, hardhead minnow, white sturgeon, channel squawfish, threadfin shad, white catfish, brown bullhead, golden shiner and green sunfish.The basses and trout are the most frequently caught by anglers.
There are many trails at Shasta Lake that follow the lake shoreline. They offer plenty of opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, running, fishing, sightseeing and wildlife viewing.
With calm water, that averages 75 degrees in the summer, swimming and water sports are favorite activities. Silverthorn Resort is located on the Pit River Arm, which is well known for its ideal water conditions
for skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and other nautical activities.
