Property Information
Enjoy the seclusion and excellent location of Big Bear Retreat. You’ll be just 4 miles from Bryson City, 5 miles from Fontana Lake and 7 miles from the Nantahala rafting area. While in the center of all the attractions, you will enjoy being on a forested mountaintop with great views of the Smokys. This cabin features lots of room for your family, 3 bedrooms featuring 2 queen beds and 2 twins, a large living room, a full length covered back porch with a hot tub plus a separate screened sitting porch and a more rockers on the front porch. In addition, there is a large game room that has both an air hockey table and foosball table, a dartboard and lots of seating for a separate gathering away from the main living area. There is even free internet access!
In the large living room you can watch a movie on the satellite TV while enjoying a warm fire in the real wood burning rock fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen is just around the corner and there is plenty of room for 6 to have a great meal at the dining room table. If grilling is your forte, you’ll find the gas BBQ on the back porch the perfect place to cook while enjoying the view of the mountains. In the evening you can take in the mountain view while relaxing in the very private hot tub. When you are ready to retire, you can use the private entrance to the master bedroom and fall asleep in the queen poster bed amongst the warmth of the log walls.

All pets must be up to date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations and must be free from fleas. All pets are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical fela and tick repellent three days prior to arrival. The cabin owners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises. |

12/17/08 My family stayed at this cabin last weekend with my sister's family, and it was absolutely wonderful! It was exactly as described. The kids had a great time in the game room playing foosball & air hockey. The whole family enjoyed the hot tub as well. The cabin is very roomy, yet cozy & relaxing. The cabin as well as the outside was very clean. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed except food. I'd love to stay there again.
