Exquisitely landscaped with drifts of hydrangeas, redwood groves, lawn and a rhododendron dell. Private beach with two kayaks; hot tub in a garden setting; large deck overlooking river. Two bedrooms upstairs have king and queen beds; downstairs bedroom has king bed; another sleeping room (no privacy from stairs) has queen bed; living room has two queen sleepers. Brick fireplace; high-speed cable Internet access. Charming rustic sleeping cottage with queen bed and redwood stump wall has its own deck with river view. Main house has 2 baths, one with shower, the other with tub/shower. Close by downstairs bedroom is an outdoor structure with toilet and shower, with hot water, but no heat in structure. Washer/dryer. We range in age from 76 to 2 and this home was great for whatever we wanted to do. Rr Getaways service was friendly and efficient from the reservation through check in and check out. The kayaks had been reported to have leaks and someone came out the check them on our first day. Replacements arrived the next morning. The home and grounds allowed all of us spaces to enjoy together or guietly read or do yoga alone. The kitchen was fully equiped for making dinners for our large group. The grounds were beautiful with many interesting plantings. Since the property is located at the end of the street it was very private and quiet. The only thing I would change is to have a screen on at least one window or door in the master bedroom.Sally on 08/24/2011 |
