Property Information |
|
Designed to compliment the original 19th-century farmhouse, the freestanding, one-bedroom apartment is located on 35 acres of reclaimed stone quarry. In addition we offer a supremely comfortable stone cottage retreat house and two bedrooms in the main house, all with en suite baths and Jacuzzis.
Our rooms are newly furnished with hardwood floors and hand-knotted Persian carpets, Stickly and Amish-made furniture, granite countertops, maple cabinets. The bedrooms boasts the most comfortable beds you have ever enjoyed and the apartment, stone cottage and west bedroom have surprisingly queen size sleeper sofas.
The hillside meadow is ideal for sledding in the winter and bird watching in the summer. Watch the aerial acrobatics of the swallows over the pond while sitting in the Adirondack chairs, or observe the goldfinches in the walled garden from the stone bench.

The description in your brochure and on the phone just doesn't do the
stone cottage justice. Every detail and and around the cottage lends itself
to the coziness and tranquility you sense as soon as you walk in the front
door. The quality of materials used and the skilled craftsmanship, along
with the mood the decor sets (not to mention the views from each
window) make this cottage what each one of us needs, but very rarely
gets to indulge in. - Andrea and David
This place is exactly what we needed and didn't even know it. We both
noticably relaxed and stayed that way. We were impressed with all the
caring that went into creating this space. It is exquisite. Thank you for
your warmth and caring. - Jacquie
We felt so privileged to live for a day amidst the outstanding craftsmanship and design of this cottage. I will refer all of my students' parents to you when they come to explore the college and university. -
Sue Whalley
