Grandview Manor, on the Middle Peninsula in Mathews County, is a beautiful place to relax and rejuvenate, but there are also ample recreational and sightseeing opportunities throughout the area, Whatever your interest-GÇöbirding, historic sites, water sports, bicycling, or antiquingGÇö-you will find it within an easy day trip in any direction, Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown, Busch Gardens and Water Country, several maritime and watermenGÇÖs museums, James River plantation houses, art museums and galleries, antiquing and many other attractions
Golf: Williamsburg is a 45-minute drive via the Colonial Parkway, where you will find Kings Mill Resort, home to the Michelob Open, offering 3 separate golf courses. Closer to home (20 minutes), the highly-rated recommend Piankatank River Golf Course, well-maintained and challenging course, with driving range, putting green, and a very good restaurant. Approximately 45 minutes north is The Golden Eagle Golf Course at Tides Inn, Irvington (they also have a Par 3 course at the same location). Therea are lots of options for non-golfers as well.
