Shake off the stress and get ready for a dream weekend in Sonoma County's wine country. Pick from one of five cottages nestled at the back of a quiet country property Windrose Romantic Cottages are located on a beautiful country property in Windsor. Complete with adjacent pastures filled with sheep, cattle, and horses. Windrose Cottages enjoy views of the mountains, the rose garden in season,
perennials, and of course grape vines.
These five cottages are furnished with all that you need for your romantic vacation, and are perfect for one or two people. Choose between The English Cottage, The French Country Cottage, The Italian Country Cottage, The Water Tower, or The Garden Suite depending on your desires.
Included in your stay is a self serve continental breakfast for two which will be set up in your cottage prior to your arrival and can be enjoyed whenever you are ready for your morning breakfast. A bottle of wine for two and a small fruit and cheese plate are
also awaiting you in your cottage so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
All our cottages include a gas log stove so you can curl up with a good book, or just relax by the fire after a long day of sight seeing. There are also air conditioners in each cottage to cool you off on those warm summer days. A hair dryer,soaps, and shampoo are also in your cottage so you can pack light on your
trip to Windrose!
You are only minutes away from world class wineries,
restaurants, Windsor Golf Club, the new village at Windsor Greens and the wonderful shops in downtown Healdsburg. Windrose cottages enjoy views of the mountains, rolling pastures, and the rose garden when in season.
Not only can you come to these wonderful cottages to relax on your deck or patio and enjoy the view of the countryside, you can also take advantage of the amazing activities that Sonoma County has to offer including wine tasting, hot air balloon rides, golfing, and
the Russian River. Explore Sonoma County and nearby Napa County, and take advantage of the best dinning, shopping and outdoor adventures to be found. After a full day spent exploring, come back to your own little romantic oasis.

It is our goal to exceed your expectations, and we will do everything we can to make your stay in our five vacation rentals an extraordinary experience. Please let us know if we can assist you in making any reservations or arranging any special outings during your stay.
Guests who stay in the Italian Cottage, French Cottage, or Water Tower have their own private hot tub. We cannot guarantee the hot tub will be available at all times due to maintenance, upkeep, and unforeseen problems. Hot tubs, TV's, DVD players, and grills are furnished as a courtesy, and are not guaranteed.
We will do our best to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs, but this availability does depend on bookings. Please inquire if you are interested. Otherwise, our check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11AM.
Our property is privately owned, and we live on-site, available to answer your questions and see to your needs. We are a vacation rental - not a bed and breakfast - but we think our little cottages live up to the standards set by the area's finest. We'd love to
have you stay with us.

The Cottages:
For the dreamiest in wine country accommodations, you'll want to experience the French, English, or Italian Cottages. Whether you stay for one night or one week, you'll find that all your comfort and needs have been thought of in this romantic getaway.
The sights and the sounds of the cottages will enchant. Traffic sounds and sirens are the exception here-not the rule. Instead, bird songs and breezes through the surrounding evergreens will clear the cobwebs from your busy day and encourage you to slow down and, yes, smell the roses.
Step into the cottage and pour yourself a glass of complimentary wine while you check out your new surroundings.
The bright and airy cottage, complete with a full
kitchen, has been newly redecorated, and is simply
darling.
A corner gas log stove is available in cooler weather, and is just right for adding that extra degree of romantic ambiance.
With a window looking out onto true country scenery, the bathroom comes with plush towels and washcloths. And no need to pack soaps, shampoos and hair dryers - they're all included. You'll need all the room you can get in your suitcase for the bounty of the wine country you'll be taking home with you!
The kitchen is complete - just bring the groceries. A
full refrigerator will chill your white wine or
champagne while you're cooking dinner. Other appliances include a toaster oven, electric tea kettle, microwave, coffee maker and blender. We've also thought you might need an assortment of paper products, flatware, cooking utensils and dishes. Bottled water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, cereal, muffins, and fruit are all complimentary, as well as a chilled bottle of wine for two, fruit, and cheese. Bon appetit!
The Water Tower:
The Water Tower epitomizes wine country style. Overlooking a grape arbor and dozens of roses, the cozy Water Tower has beautiful views that look out onto lush pasture lands, green year-round. On the second story of an antique water tower, the light, open, and airy feel of the studio is accentuated by its "in the clouds" feeling.
Enjoy a private enclosed hot tub looking out into the
stars. The hot tub is exclusively for the Water Tower
guests. Romantic touches abound in the darling studio, which comfortably accommodates up to two guests. The amenities are charming and cozy, newly decorated in crisp white and lavender.
Decorated with your convenience and comfort in mind, the accommodations consist of a pillow top queen sized bed, sitting area, kitchenette and bathroom with full shower. The living area is furnished with a cozy wicker couch and coffee table.
On cooler nights, turn down the lights and enjoy the
ambiance of the corner gas log stove. If you need
your electronic fix, a TV (complete with HBO and Cinemax)and CD player with an assortment of easy-listening CDs are at your fingertips. We are also a Wi-Fi hotspot.
A second story deck invites you to relax and unwind,
enjoying the views with your complimentary champagne, cheese, and fruit plate. A barbecue area with gas grill and picnic tables is available should you choose to dine under the evergreens.
You'll sleep beautifully in the queen sized pillow top
bed, dreamily dressed in linens and a plump down
comforter during the winter. Throw open the windows on a summer's eve for some fresh, country air, scented with the aroma of the many rose bushes on the property, or enjoy the warmth of the log stove on a rainy day. And although you'll probably be sleeping in, an alarm clock is next to your bed if needed.
The bathroom, with water closet and full shower, is
conveniently stocked with towels, washcloths, shampoo and fragrant soaps. A hair dryer is available for your convenience.
The kitchenette, with small refrigerator/freezer,
microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and blender,
has the necessities you'll need in your home-away-from-home, including bottled water, paper products,glassware, dinnerware and an assortment of cooking utensils. Breakfast fixings available for your enjoyment include coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, muffins, fruit and cereal.
While you're deciding which of the many local activities you'll be enjoying, put your feet up on the darling deck, and watch the hot air balloons float by on wine country breezes or gaze out on the animals roaming in the pastures, breathing deeply of the rose-scented air.
You'll be glad you passed on that hotel room when you've experienced the charm and privacy of The Water Tower retreat.
The Garden Suite:
The Path to the Garden Suite leads you under a canopy of wisteria and jasmine to a cozy covered porch. Overlooking a wooded area populated with bird life, the
porch is your entrance to a serene, inviting, romantic
getaway.
Decorated in soothing shades of blue, yellow, and green,
the suite consists of a large combination bedroom /sitting room, full bath complete with a large shower, antique claw foot tub, and a small kitchenette.
Windows abound in the main room, making the space airy and bright, and the wicker chairs, floral prints and
patchwork bed quilt lend a feeling of country
sophistication. Pull a chair up to the gas log stove on a cool evening and settle in with a good read. Or maybe
your preferences lean toward an evening in a pillowtop
king size bed with a bowl of popcorn, watching a movie
on HBO.
Before slipping under the sheets, experience the luxury of a long, relaxing soak in the spacious claw foot tub an experience not to be rushed. If you decide that you
would rather forego the bath, a shower is also an option. Plush towels and robes are also awaiting your arrival.
The kitchenette, complete with a 2 burner stove, small
refrigerator, microwave, toaster convection oven, and
coffeemaker.
Lounge on the porch and enjoy cool breezes from the
comfy chairs, which overlook a wooded area populated
with a variety of bird life. A barbecue area, under the
pines, is available to grill a great steak or maybe kabobs made with local organic produce. Afterwards, kick up your feet on the porch and enjoy the peaceful views of the country.
The Garden Suite is full of the little touches that
make a great stay - one that will rejuvenate your mind
