Vacation Cottage in
St Georges Town St Georges Parish
||Studio • Sleeps 2
||1 Full Bathroom

The air conditioned bright and airy cottage comforts include a queen-sized bed with a ceiling fan overhead.
There is a kitchenette comprised of an under-the-counter refrigerator with an ice compartment, a large toaster oven, microwave, hot plate and coffee-maker. It is fully equipped with dishes etc.
The room also offers a table with two chairs for dining-in, a couch, colour cable TV, radio/alarm, an ironing board/iron, hair dryer, telephone (calling card access or credit card for overseas calls), and a bathroom with a shower. This unit has access to wireless Internet.
There are sliding glass doors leading outdoors into the garden patio area… The room is tiled in Mexican tile and has a high open-beamed ceiling. Ample linens are provided including beach towels.
Maid service is not provided, although for stays of one week or longer, fresh linens are provided weekly. There are ‘glimpses’ of the ocean from the cottage – and just a walk to either end of the lane affords spectacular views and the fading glory of the evening sunset. For the convenience of our guests, there is an iPod player so you can enjoy your own music.
Two very friendly dogs live with the owner in a separate home, but for this reason other pets are not allowed at the property.
As an added bonus for our guests, because the home owners are members of the neighbouring St. George’s Club, they can now offer pool access and bookings for the tennis courts can be arranged if desired as well!
Clear-water Beach and Tobacco Bay are wonderful beaches nearby waiting for you to discover them. A mini-bus can be arranged to take you to Clearwater & Cooper’s Island – the owner will provide details on how to secure mini-bus service.
The cottage is tucked away on a quiet street in the historic town of St. George, Bermuda, high up on the hill. An outbuilding of the 200 year old house next door, the old structure has had its 12 inch thick stone walls restored with dedication and attention to detail, to become the comfortable new cottage it is today. Of particular interest is the fact that the town of St. George has now been declared a World Heritage site.
Good shopping, restaurants, the waterfront, museums, churches, beautiful beaches and the pubs and cafes are all located within walking distance. Golf courses are within 15 minutes cab or moped of the cottage, including Mid-Ocean Golf course (last minute inquiries for tee times welcome) and Ocean View in Devon shire, as well as many others (see website homepage for details) St. George’s has every convenience for the visitor combined with a beautiful harbor setting. There is a mini-bus service provided in the St. George area for a nominal charge, and the main bus service is about a 5 minute walk and will take you to all points on the island. For the independent adventurer, there are several cycle liveries close by for those wanting to rent scooters or pedal bikes. Boat and land tours are available as well. St. George/Dockyard ferry service runs Mon – Fri from April – October (cruise ship season). Dockyard is splendid collection of buildings dating from the early 1800’s used by the British Navy to re-provision their ships. Now converted to museums, shops and artisans studios, a trip to Dockyard is a must- and to get there by ferry will combine the pleasures of a cruise, with stunning scenery and a fascinating glimpse into Bermuda’s colonial past.
