On Highland Time is the perfect home for your next family vacation! Centrally located just minutes from Downtown Blowing Rock and Boone, you are very close to all of the activities for which the High Country is known.
Enter into this 3 story home and you are greeted with beautiful vaulted ceilings, a rustic wood-burning fireplace, a kitchen with brand new appliances, drip style coffeemaker, and a view from the back deck that you won't forget!
On the main level, the master bedroom has a queen size bed, full bathroom and closet. Upstairs, you will find the loft with a great view, king size bed, another full bathroom, and closet. The downstairs family game-room and has 2 twin sized beds and full bathroom. There is a full sized sleeper sofa in the downstairs den.
The den makes the perfect hang out spot for everyone offering cozy seating, and a flat screen TV! The outside offers several amenities including a 4 person hot tub and a fenced in fire-pit area overlooking the mountain top.
This home is located 3.2 miles from App Ski Mountain, 6 miles from Mystery Hill, 3.0 miles from Tweetsie Railroad, and just 6 miles from Main Street in Blowing Rock! Don't miss out on this perfect family-friendly destination!
Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.

We had a great time at the cabin. It has everything you need for a weekend getaway or longer. The view is awesome and the hot tub is a bonus. The location is very private and we thought the bedding and overall amenities we're great. Excellent job on communication, as well.

Easy, contactless check-in. Very clean throughout the entire house. Kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware and utensils you could need. Even had a crock pot and a small Keurig in the pantry. Perfect getaway for 2-6 people, could fit 8 if needed by using the sleeper sofa. At the top of a mountain so the view is fantastic and quite private. Waking up to the sunrise from the loft was amazing. Will recommend. Note, it is at the very top of a mountain community. About 1 mile of steep narrow driveway to the top. Well paved but definitely need AWD and snow tires in snow or ice.

Beautiful cabin that feels remote, yet close to town. Clean, comfortable, with lots of little touches for renters, like dishwasher and laundry pods provided. Everything is renovated and upscale. Thanks for a wonderful family getaway!

Beautiful home! Me and my grandpa enjoyed our stay. Very clean home and in a wonderful location....so close to everything. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and seeing the deer each morning.

Cabin was exactly as described. It was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in. There were really no issues that we needed help with on our stay however, the team was responsive to my questions before and after booking. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans etc. We had a great time and could even see App Ski Mtn from the cabin.

We absolutely loved this property! The house was in a gorgeous neighborhood that was in the perfect location, sandwiched directly between Boone and Blowing Rock. The house had great amenities, such as the game table, the comfortable front porch, the Bluetooth speakers on both levels, and most importantly, the fully stocked kitchen that made cooking our Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners a breeze! We were delighted to find that the home was decorated for the holidays! The bedroom configurations were perfect for a family of four with an additional guest. We would definitely come back!

Cozy and clean cabin surrounded by woods. Really enjoyed this cabin! Cozy, clean, and quiet space. The entire process was somple and easy - Easy to locate and access. Simple instructions for cleaning before leaving. Accommodating - had all the things we needed (e.g., kitchen supplies, WiFi) and more (fire place inside and outside) to enjoy our stay. Staff was easy to contact. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home beautiful location! This is the most pet friendly property I have seen there are gates on the decks and a great fenced in area around the firepit. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals..There is plenty of deer to see every morning . Was a great clean relaxing place!
PERFECT SIZE

The house was a perfect size for our family of four plus our dog. We enjoyed the fire pit each night as well as the hot tub. The house is secluded but not too much so. The enclosed space around the fire pit allowed our dog to roam freely. We saw several deer and hummingbirds. The beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect for outings to Boone and Blowing Rock. We also visited Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls. We would definitely stay in this house again. Thank you!
YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

The cabin is exactly as advertised. It was very clean which is important to me. If you are looking to stay in and cook then you won't be disappointed in the extremely well stocked kitchen. It has everything you could possible need. Of course you are so close to Boone (5-10 minutes away) and Blowing Rock (5-10 minutes away) you don't want to miss out on the good restaurants there too. In Boone we ate at Lost Province Brewing Company (delicious wood-fired pizzas and other bar type foods) and Wildcraft Eatery which has a more eclectic menu but some of the best food I have eaten in a while at any restaurant. You will not be disappointed at either place! In Blowing Rock we ate at Town Tavern of Blowing Rock and enjoyed sitting out on the deck and listening to a guitar player as we ate. Great Philly cheese steaks. Mostly bar food but it has a huge variety for everyone. The cabin is secluded and so quiet. If you are out on the deck you can very faintly hear the Tweetsie Railroad whistle in the background. Inside the house you don't hear it at all. It was so peaceful we slept with the windows open so we could enjoy the fresh mountain air and the peace and quiet. The hot tub was a huge hit after a few long days of hiking. It felt great on my tired legs. It too was very clean. The fire pit area was also very nice. We built a fire two of the nights and cooked s'mores even though we were still full from dinner. You can't go wrong with this cabin. It has location, it is clean, it is well stocked, and booking was very easy. It was great to have some toiletries (shampoo, soap, conditioner) on hand too when we arrived since my son and his friend both forgot to bring theirs. It is the little touches that make this place a great place to stay. You won't be disappointed.
