Welcome to Hawkes Nest!
Hawkes Nest is a charming three-bedroom mountain home located on a large parcel of land with seasonal views. It is located just outside Banner Elk, at the base of Beech Mountain. You are only 5 miles away from the slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort and maybe 10 (10) miles away from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort where you can snow tube, sled, or snowboard. The High Country is an excellent place to visit after the slopes close at the end of spring. The sun is warm and the nights are cool. The High Country is popular as a summer destination. Once summer is over, the weather is perfect for fall. The weather is pleasant with cool nights, and the colors of the leaves change from oranges to golds, browns, and reds. Hawkes Nest is a unique destination to enjoy the fall foliage season.

The main floor features a large, comfortable living room, a HD Roku Smart TV with BluRay Player and digital cable programming. There is also a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is located around the great room and is fully stocked. It includes dishware, glassware, and silverware. The central island can accommodate four (4) guests, while the dining room can seat six. Hawkes Nest has a dining area that can accommodate up to ten people.

The master bedroom features a king-sized log bed that has been hand-hewn, an HDTV with digital cable and a bathroom ensuite. The bathroom has a jetted tub and separate shower, as well as a double vanity. Two additional bedrooms are located upstairs. Each bedroom has a private bathroom with shower. One of the bedrooms upstairs has a queen bed and an HDROKU smart TV with digital cable. The second bedroom upstairs has two (2) twin beds. One of them is a twin daybed with a twin trundle. It also features a foosball table, an HDROKU SmartTV with digital cable, and a foosball game. Two inflatable twin-size aerobeds are located upstairs. The central Juliette Deck overlooks the seasonal views of the mountains. It is located at the top stair.

The main level has a covered porch which wraps around the back and leads to the front. This deck features an electric grill, a table outside and a hot-tub. This house is wheelchair friendly due to its level entrance and paved parking. There is also a washer/dryer, central heating, air conditioning, wireless internet, and central heating. It is conveniently located near downtown Banner Elk, and only a few minutes from the Lees McRae Campus. You can drive to the slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort. It feels like it's a well-loved and well-maintained home.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You can cancel within 24 hours and receive a refund. Cancellations more than 30 days before arrival will result in 50% refund. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival are not eligible for refunds. If you have travel coverage and the reason of cancellation is covered, you can get the full amount back.
