Alpine Gorge View is a 4 BR/3.5BA contemporary mountain home with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The charming town of Blowing Rock is less than 10 minutes away, with delicious dining, local shopping, and a community park with walking trails, playground, basketball, and tennis courts. The world-renowned Westglow Spa is a 5-minute drive, as is the access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Some other local attractions close by are Appalachian Ski Mountain (15 min), the Tanger Outlets (13 min), Moses Cone Manor, and hiking trails (7 min) Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park (15 min), and Grandfather Mountain (25 min).
This custom-built getaway sits nestled in a private mountain cove, overlooking a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The open concept living space includes plush seating surrounding a large HDTV and gas fireplace, with a vaulted ceiling and two levels of windows to fully capture the incredible High Country landscape. The kitchen boasts granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and seating for 8 at the dining table. Off of the living room is a covered porch with rocking chairs and a gas grill.
The Master King Suite is also on the main level, with private access to a covered porch, HDTV, and an ensuite bath with a tiled walk-in shower and dual vanity.
Upstairs, an open loft holds the gaming area with a pool table. There is also a king bedroom with an HDTV and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The lower-level den provides additional cozy seating around a second fireplace and large HDTV. There is also an additional level of covered deck off of the den. Sleeping accommodations on this level include a king bedroom with HDTV and a bunk bedroom with HDTV. They share a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date.
Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. But you may recover the entire amount if travel insurance was purchased and the reason for the cancellation was covered.

Great House. This is our new no 1 house to rent. We will be back next year if its available. Only improve would be blinds on the bedrooms.

We had a wonderful time at Alpine Gorge View. The home was beautiful, a good location, beautifully furnished and well supplied kitchen. Couldn't decide which location to sit, back porch or front, so divided my time to both.

The home is absolutely beautiful. Our favorite spot was the porch off of the living room. I received news that my Mom had passed away during my stay & the tranquility of those mountains views certainly helped.

Beautiful new home was perfect for reuniting with small multi generational family for first time since vaccinations. Each family unit had their own bed/bath on separate floors. AC Worked great with a different thermostat for each floor. Furnishings were lovely and new, beds were comfy on the firm side. Loads of drawers in bed and bath plus large closet space(walk-ins in main and 3rd floor masters). Linens were nice quality. FYI, there are no blinds on gorge facing windows so that you can enjoy the view but the light will wake you if the kids haven't already. Kitchen is well supplied with Keurig, regular coffee pot, blender, knives, etc. All TV's (each bedroom and 2 living areas) have included Roku. There is a nice Weber propane grill on main floor deck along with quality rocking chairs on 2 rear and one front facing deck. Would love an outdoor dining table for next time. And speaking of the decks, the views are gorgeous even in leafy summer! We all enjoyed watching the surprise guests. No, not bears but turkeys! Spotted them on multiple days along with a doe and a turtle. Just a little FYI, the driveway is gravel but very easy even in a sedan. There is also a fire pit at the top of the driveway. The house is about 5 miles to town. We loved visiting Blowing Rock for dining at the Six Pence Pub with outdoor seating, cute shops, and the playground. What a beautiful town with all of its gardens! Not too crowded in summer. However, it rolls up the sidewalks early! Shops close at 5. No waits for dining although many places close on random days. Recommend calling to confirm open days. All spots are casual dress. Grandfather mountain, Tweetsie, Boone are 15-20m away. Would love to rent this home again!

The outdoor front electric lights did not operate on the final 2 days. Beautiful home. Just wanted to bring that to someone's attention to correct.
