Property Description

This beautiful cabin is only two miles away from Beech Mountain Ski Resort. It is also within walking distance to the Pond Creek Trail, which offers catch-and-release fishing in the clear mountain water including stunning cascading falls. Coffey Lake, Buckeye Lake, Buckeye Recreation Center and Emerald Outback are all nearby attractions. Beech Mountain Ski Resort offers snow-skiing and snowboarding, ice-skating, mountain biking, and outdoor concerts. Emerald Outback offers hiking, trail running, and mountain biking all year round. Lake Coffey offers great fishing and a scenic 1/8 mile walking or hiking trail that wraps around it. Buckeye Lake, located next to the Buckeye Recreation Center (22,500 square feet) with indoor basketball, volleyball and tennis courts and fitness rooms, is a great place for fishing. The NC Wildlife commission stocks trout in both Lake Coffey, and Buckeye Lake. Standing Bear Lodge reservations include access to the Beech Mountain Club, which offers golfing, tennis and bocci ball, as well as the fitness center. The great room features high vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, a wall of windows and comfortable furnishings around a gas log fireplace and mounted big screen television. The kitchen and dining area are easily accessible from the great-room, making it easy to entertain a large group. The deck on the main floor offers outdoor dining with a gas barbecue. The lower level family area has a gas fireplace, arcade game and large flat screen television. A custom-built hot tub deck is accessible from the deck via a catwalk. The hot tub is nestled in the trees and provides a private setting for daytime fun, or evening soaks. This cabin can accommodate up to 10 people with a master bedroom on the main floor with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The upper floor has a bunk bed with a twin-over-king bunk, a king bedroom and a twin sleeper couch. All of these will share a full bathroom on the upper floor. The lower level has a second bedroom with a king bed and a bathroom. Other amenities include central heating and air conditioning, a washer/dryer, high-speed internet, and TVs that allow you to log in to your own streaming account. Standing Bear Lodge does not allow pets. Winter travelers are advised to have a 4WD vehicle and be able to use tire chains if necessary. Two cabin cameras capture the front of the house. Standing Bear Lodge is the perfect place to experience all that the High Country has in store. Beech Mountain Club Standing Bear Lodge guests are eligible to apply for membership transfers to the Beech Mountain Club for the dates of their reservation. A membership transfer is subject to BMC policies. Guests will receive an email containing instructions, BMC transfer policies and the transfer application. The guest must submit this to the club at least three days before the transfer date, which cannot be earlier than your arrival date. BMC charges guests a membership transfer fee of up to $200 upon check-in. Memberships begin at the social level. BMC will accept additional fees from guests to upgrade their membership (see BMC's website for details). BMC is responsible for transferring memberships.
